Hi there,
as developer I publish regularly assets which should helping keep customers times down and quality up. But creating just 3D-content is not my only task. In the last 3 years becomes my main field of activity being history, where the highest requirement of customers are historical accuracy.
This work has its roots in my real life´s elaborations of ancient artifacts because customers were interested to use those for better experience, not just in games.
With Virtual Reality becomes 3D-experience more important because the border between normal game assets and scientific environment blurred.
I gave it a lot of thought if those publications make sense. Additionally I have a huge archive and that’s a pity that much older content only lies around too. I decided to release it, but split my publications into two forms:
1.) Assets from my huge archive are sold with the suffixes “PBR and 4k” (and so on) because most of them feature 4k tiff-textures (goes with them) and all are fully PBR-setup. Their quality is mostly medium to upper medium but feature mostly nice details, like full accessible buildings and so on.
2.) My “UHQ-Series”. The published “Ultra High Quality” 3D-assets close the gap between cinematic requirements and game using with effective LOD-management and physical collider meshes. During my jobs I learned the importance of saving customers time and allow him the full control over the asset. UHQ-assets are created with high historical accuracy and are high detailed. But you can choose your level of detail for your individual project by using all existing LODs. Never lose time with too high or low resolution models. The LOD0-rendermesh allows you best quality for cut scenes while the attached data sheet offers you the individual in game setup by using all 7 LODs.
My UHQ-assets are furthermore “future proof”.
The number of my publications is constantly increasing. If you want to ask me for a special asset please feel free to contact me. Especially for the guns I want to add, that maybe not all calibers, lengths and weights are available when you are looking for your scenes’ weapons because the construction based on a huge mathematical proportion sheet I created with support of ordnance experts and universities around the world.
