Impresive features, incredible support

This is a really complete shader set that can fill your needs for toon art style in both low and high poly scenarios. Really flexible too and you can generate/optimize your shaders only with what you require. Special mention to the developer support. I have been using this package since 2015, that's 11 years of support from the developer!!! Really happy with it.

Highly customizable

One of the best shader generators for forward/forward+ rendering, if not the best. Don't be confused by the name - this asset can definitely generate pretty PBR shaders for URP as well. Custom code injection system is a killer feature that gives you absolute freedom to modify default template however you like, without losing the ability to toggle needed shader features through UI. The resulting code is clean and optimized - something that you won't get from the shader graph and even ASE. The template itself is one of the best boilerplates to handwrite your own shaders. Every part and step is commented and well-explained.

Pretty intuitive and gives great results

I probably can spend a month making these shaders myself, but the fact is if you want cartoon/anime like visuals this asset is worth investing into. The dev provides very good support and it just works. The material settings are good enough for 99% of use cases and the remainder you can just copy the shader code modify. I would highly recommend this asset.

meebouon version 2.9.21
as someone that has no clue about shader, i thought i just buy this and bam, instant water and lava shader. but i have absolutely no clue what to do. documentation says use the watertemplate. wtf? what is the template? how should i use that? even the tool to create a shader is so complicated for someone that never made shader...how do i get water or lava like in the example? why is there even an example picture of lava and water but not a finished shader+material included ready to use?

Hello, thanks for your review and questions. A few pointers to answer them: - for a quick start, as stated in the documentation, you can use the Hybrid Shader 2 and very quickly get a stylized look with various options - to get water/lava rendering, you have to use the Shader Generator 2 and make your own shader ; there is indeed a learning curve that gets steeper as you go far into the customization options (like the shader properties system), but you should be able to get a working water shader by just toggling a few checkboxes, and using the correct material textures and colors - note that there is no water template anymore, that was in the legacy Shader Generator 1, so you might have stumbled upon the wrong documentation page (not sure how, I would like to know how you arrived there to prevent that in the future) - there are example shaders and materials, you need to unpack the relevant demo scenes from the "Demo TCP2" folder first (some are URP only, some built-in pipeline, and some have both versions - there's at least one water material for each pipeline) For reference, the proper documentation can be found here: https://jeanmoreno.com/unity/toonycolorspro/doc/ I do plan to eventually have more out-of-box example shaders made with the Shader Generator 2, with various styles and types (water, vegetation with wind, terrain...), but I'm still working on that.

i found the demo have a lot of urp pipeline shader,but the outline shader only support the bulit in pipeline,could you add the outline shader support urp,because fresh man is so difficult to build a mature shader for the shader generator.

Hi, thanks for your review. You can use the Hybrid Shader 2 with outline in URP, there's just a renderer feature to setup first in the URP asset for it to work. Incredible asset. One stop for all toon shaders

This isn't just a toon shader, it's a shader generator that has every possible feature you could imagine for any stylised look you're going for. I originally bought this asset in 2020 and have worked on several games since then and inevitably reach for Toony Colors Pro. Most recently I was looking into how to properly do a silhouette pass to render my character through obstacles. Then I discovered that Toony Colors already has that feature and it's a simple toggle in the generator with a nice guide for URP render features in the docs. The developer has been actively working on this and ensuring it works properly with new versions of Unity. If you're looking for a stylised shader that just works and has great support, look no further.

As of version 2.9.19, support for Unity 6.2 should be much better. Please let me know if you still find issues or regressions though.
