This is a great asset if you want a simple, stress-free drag-and-drop sky for your game. I added it to a small project I’m working on, and within two minutes I had a stunning nighttime skybox set up. It also came with more visual controls than I expected for the price. Sure, there are more advanced skybox assets out there, but I don’t always want or need that level of complexity. Sometimes less really is more. This product is absolutely worth it—it instantly changed the entire feel of my outdoor environment. You can customize it to your needs, but I’ve mostly used the preset skies, and they already look great. I saw a few reviews saying this asset affected performance, but after following the documentation to reduce the run-time cost (which only took about ten minutes), I didn’t notice any difference compared to when I had SimpleSky by Synty in my scene. My only complaint is that the documentation felt a bit light on detail. It reads like it was written for someone already familiar with the system. Still, with a little trial and error, I figured things out quickly.

The time of the day does not even change!

Lots of parameters to tweak and very nice out-of-the-box prefab materials. Saved a week's (at least) worth of messing about for a small sum. The only thing I would add would be to improve the time-of-day feature: if we could optionally plug in a directional light and asset could rotate the directional light for time of day, that would be super useful.

A quality based affordable asset with a variety of usages potentials. Definately a purchase one should consider for a variety of projects that might require such and one will most likely find appreciation in the bang for the buck value...

I don't regret my purchase at all, it's really top notch and very easy to use! For my projects, it's perfect! Ps: I hope the translation with google was correct:D

Use this asset for a while on my project with some few own adjustments to the scripts. After realizing that this asset can make the sun and moon only go in a seesaw pattern (sun goes up and down in the same direction and same for the moon). In addition the TimeOfDay variable is handled with an animator, which is just silly and more difficult to adjust. Also details like stars are quite difficult to handle and work right. Overall I just realised that it's easier to create my own custom solution and it ended up making a better athmosphere anyways in just a hour or two. After getting rid of this asset in my scene, I noticed that my FPS almost doubled from around 120 to 220. TLDR: This can be a good asset for specific style and it's very fast to implement. For me, this ended up being a lot of extra hassle with dealbreaker limitations and bad performance.

Looks pretty but be warned, the twinkling stars effect IS NOT VR COMPATIBLE. This doesn't appear to be stated anywhere (effect is different in each eye so it hurts to look at). Everything else seems to work well.

Does exactly what it says! Performance is good, tested on standalone VR as well as different PC setups. The best thing about Boxo assets is the support- good docs, and support on Discord.

Any game with non-realistic graphics should use this. Beautiful stars can twinkle. Easy to tweak, any effects can be turn off if not needed. Thank you Boxo for making this!
