I am trying the demo scenes of this package and the only error I am getting is that device is not connected however the device is connected and running. Is there anything I am missing or is there any issue in the package. Would be waiting for your reply. Thanking in anticipation.

As far as I see from your e-mail, you're using Kinect-v2. This asset is for Kinect-v1 (Kinect for Xbox 360) sensors only. That's why it cannot connect to the device.
But, even for Kinect-v1, I would recommend using the K2-asset instead. It supports Kinect-v1 cameras too.
I'm currently experimenting with my new Kinect, and it's been a blast! My only issue is that Unity will hang and must be forcefully ended after playing a scene. Given the asset hasn't been updated since 2015, I doubt there will be a fix. If you're patient, it's a very useful tool!

There is no doubt that it's a good asset ! However, I can't connect my kinect sensor with these KinectAvatarsDemos. Can you give me some advice? I definitely don't know the reason why it can't be connected with the sensor!

What's exactly the issue you have? And, does the sensor work with the SDK-provided samples?

I've struggled for days just to have the Kinect working on the developer toolkit and I thought it would be the same, if not harder to have it working on unity. Well, this asset worked first try.

I am just a newbie in this world and ambitioned to capture motion via Kinect 1. After browing tones of videos on the internet, most the solutions are expensive and difficult to comprehend.
Downloading this asset as pretty straight forward. There were just a few compatibility bug due to fact that it was written years ago. But these are very easy to fix because guidelines are in an earlier review.
I managed to get the asset working and I surprisingly got the Kinect capture motion. Cherry on the cake : you got loads of demo files that help a newbie fly by own wings.
I wish I could start from this assetstore. As I said: free package is definitely a STEAL !

Very good sandbox tool to create your own code from the SDK kinect in Unity. Used it years ago and still work in Unity Editor like charm (Small blocking bug: it don't build on Window 10 anymore for me. Date: 2020_04_21)

Works great after making some changes as suggested by other users regarding GUIText and GUITexture to make it compatible with Unity Version 2019.3.8f1. The instructions and examples for creating custom gestures were also super helpful.
The only problem we ran into that we can't seem to resolve is the following regarding the foreach loop(s) in KinectManager.Update(). The demos seem to run perfectly fine in spite of this error, but we would greatly appreciate if you could help fix this error.

On a side note, we also seem to be experiencing "freezes" where the model stops moving (including the bone-only model) and we're not sure why. We suspect it might be because the kinect is not receiving data correctly or the data is not being passed into Unity correctly(?), and therefore freezes out of nowhere from time to time. Do you know why that might happen?

To the exception: This is something new. Please try to reproduce it in the Editor, and e-mail me the Editor's log, so I can take a look.
To the "freeze issue": This is an old problem between Unity and Kinect-v1. Some computers have it, some don't. In this regard, please try on some other computer, too.
