I've been working on a Top Down perspective game and I'm not exagerating when I tell you this assets it's a absolute life savior. It contains the systems you would need for everything regarding moving, chameras, orientation, combat, feedback, character abilities, and many other feaures I'm yet to discover. If you're a novice devolper, it's amazing. This engine allows a ton of customization without the need of coding. But, if you know how to code, it's even better! Seriously, give it a try.

So, the software's pretty sweet. It seems my discord was banned from the community for whatever reason. I imagine I posted my stories of my encounters with Ubisoft in there, to which someone decided I didn't need to be in the group. So if you're not politically linked to their beliefs you'll eventually get banned without communication. That's a problem for a lot of reasons. A message or something to tell someone they can't say or do something, sure. Shadow bans for whatever reason are deeply unprofessional. ---- So we've deduced from email that this ban has probably resolved to a suspicious account flag from mass reporting on discord. Tisk tisk kids. Tisk friggin tisk. If people have a problem with me, they should say so. To me, like adults. Weaponizing a reporting system to make the devs here deal with this situation, I hope whoever did that reads this and understands their petty behaviour reflects on everyone you passively involve. I am still leaving a cut 2/5 review due to customer experience. Whether or not the moderation is out of your control, you are ultimately the person responsible. Instead of listening to me, the action was to blame the user for a compromised account, without understanding the intricacies of the discord platform and how reporting works. Obstructing responsibility is just bad management. My comments to political issues still stands as there aren't many reasons beyond that why groups would take to reporting people out of social media platforms.

Beautifully crafted! The engine covers a lot of aspects, helps and speeds up the development very much. The support in Discord is fantastic.

This engine is fantastic. It covers all the essential features needed for a top-down action game. Even the demo scenes already feel like a complete game, showcasing its great potential. Support is also very active on Discord, and the community is lively and helpful. Although my own game is still in development, I believe that with the power of this TopDown Engine, I will be able to reach the finish line.

This is a great way to ease into development in Unity. You can start developing a game while you learn. The accompanying video channel is central to this. Obviously, the more skills you have, the more you can take advantage of it. I chose the 2D top down style in this asset simply because the aiming is more intuitive to me.

I've been using TDE for years, it is a huge package that includes everything you need to create a game. The foundations are solid and the examples and scripts are all well documented. Most of them are extendable and ready to scale and adapt to your project. The other systems such as Feedback or Events are also masterfully crafted and helped me in many non-topdown projects. The vast amount of features, the careful construction and the user-first way of scripting and documenting prove the hard work and love that was put into making this asset.

hands down the best way to create and learn how a game is supposed to be structured. 5 star is not enough to rate this.

It's a great asset all round, I find the fact everything is provided for the user to use with ease alongside it being open and modular for you to pull apart and do what you will with it. Like the authors other assets, it's battle tested of the highest quality. Fantastic asset, deserves its 5-star review.

I have just started using this TDE since I had to prototype out a game in 3 weeks for a class I'm in. This thing is UNREAL. It's basically an entire game of systems already written, that all can talk to each other with very little needed from us. The amount packed into this (it also comes with FEEL) is just impressive. The value for the price is the best you can get from the Unity store. The dev is ACES and you can feel (pun intended) how much he cares about this project and about providing value and ease of use. Documentation and videos are top tier, Discord support is fast and friendly and the price is out of this world for what you get. For me, MM is the gold standard for asset devs.

This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's got great features, documentation, and continuous support from the developer. It's not just features specific to one genre, it's got all of the features of a full game. You can learn a ton of it as a beginner. And it will help you prototype new games much faster.
