DLL core; Cant comment more
Eagles_rule_deron version 1.3
The core codebase is delivered in DLL format.
There is a website that should be able to provide a link to the root code, however its currently bugged with an expired SSL cert.
Tried emailing a fortnight ago with no response.
Cant really comment more than that, except that the demo scene seems to successfully implement all the elements you'd be looking for behind a blackbox.

Sorry for the inconvenience, forget to tell that the website is running normally long ago
Well-designed system and most parts are modular enough/easy to use in a different situation without importing the entire system. (Except for the DLL parts but I already got the source code from the author's website so nvm...)

Was looking forward to seeing how the Camera was done only to find that it is a DLL as is most of the key scripts in this package. So I have no way of learning from them.. Support link no longer works.. Please refund...

Hi! sorry for the late response! The source scripts are available through my web page and following the instructions in the documentation. Please, email me if you want more details or if you have any problem.
Hope you can change the review score once the problem is resolved.

Works exactly as shown. Good documentation.

ian_maurmannon version 1.3
Works exactly as shown. The documentation is well-written and has screenshots and examples that all work. The game-systems in the demo scenes were easy to add to my existing project.
Also it really is modular like the description says. I bought it because the camera in the video was exactly what I wanted to use for my non-space game (a medieval strategy game). I was able to easily add the camera movement, angled zoom, edge panning, and the bounding plane for the map edge, without anything in my project breaking, to my existing project.
I had one question that I asked the author about on the forum, and he was helpful and friendly to talk with.
I know I'm using it for the wrong genre, so my review doesn't necessarily cover everything the package does, but for my game it works awesome and is absolutely 100% worth the money I paid for it.

GermiyanBeyon version 1.3
At first I was worried that this asset was not updated for a year. I tried my chance and downloaded it to an empty 2018.3.12 project.
It works flawless, and project is very rich of assets and modular. Everything you see in Trailer and everything promised are in the asset. (Building, Unit productions, AI attacks, Laser/Missile attacks, Unit Command and Formation, nice Space Ship animations, etc.)
The downside is, as a Playmaker user I am, it is very difficult for me to access the scripts and modify it according to my custom uses. There are some things missing, such as RTS Unit production Timer and Group Controlling with Keyboard Input (CTRL+1, 2 kind of). You have to add them by yourself via coding.
However Developer is extremely helpful and responsive, thus I keep 5 stars for this reason, although current state deserves 4 stars.

JeBuSBrianon version 1.3
Ran into a hiccup when the Unity auto-updater screwed something up when importing the package. But a fresh project and import had it working.

Glad you make it work!
The problem with me and my Game Dev Journey is that I take a lot of classes online. These classes never teach us a real world implementation, forget about AAA. The code in this project is Superb, you can tell that Hernan, who made this project, knows his stuff. They don't teach us this stuff in classes. Now I have to admit that I am a bit lost, because I'm not an experienced developer yet. The author takes the time out of his busy day and life schedule to respond to your emails, and it really is a well coded project. If you are an experienced developer and know about delegates and actions, and the command system you will feel right at home. I personally do wish that we had some more quick start info and how to extend it to fit our needs as lesser experienced programmers, but all in all I do give this 5 stars.

Thanks for the review! I'm taking your feedback for sure.
I bought this asset because there are very few code examples for group/squad movement out there. This is by far the best implementation of it I've seen to date and it's not just usable in the space setting (I used it in classical 2.5D RTS). Depending on the number of the selected units the formation after issuing the move command varies a little so it looks quite sophisticated. On top of that it uses Unity's built-in NavMesh system with which I had my difficulties in the past due to thread safety. BUT: Even after moving 50-100 units at once the fps doesn't seem to falter. I think this feature is very optimized in terms of performance and even suitable for mobile and low-end devices.
Pro:
- best group/squad movement on the asset store
- gameready selection system (units, buildings, etc.)
- modular building and spatial system for units and structures with smooth placement validation using the built-in NavMesh
- modular resource system with optional upper limits
- resource gathering and consumption
I didn't really test out the RTS camera that much as I already have my own.
What I'm missing:
- full modular and smooth combat system (but damage system is already on the "next to come"-list)
- setting option for grid/tile-based building placement
Support:
It took about 1.5 hours and my question was fully answered with an easily understandable wording
