Worth the money, great purchase!

trevk84on previous version 1.4.3
High quality asset. Meshes are well designed, textures are optimized, prefabs are well made with LODs. Everything is organized, and labeled properly. Author also gives step-by-step guide on how to set up lighting to help make your scenes look great.

I just wish I could get LOD baking working. It doesn't look as good as baking non LOD trees. Anyone know of a fix for this?

Hi there, Thank you for your support. Appreciate that! For now, what I've found is that you can bake nice lightmaps for LOD assets using Unity 2017.4 + Progressive or Enlighten. If you are using the latest Unity 2019, use Enlighten, it gives a good LOD lightmap baking result. But keep in mind that Unity is planning to remove Enlighten from Unity in future releases. The current Progressive lightmapper in Unity 2019.3 seems like it doesn't support lightmap baking for LODs. I would recommend using Bakery (from the asset store). I tested it, and it works with all of my assets on Unity 2017, 2018, 2019+, without any problems. Bake results for LOD and noLOD assets are very clean and nice using low baking resolutions. Compared with Unity Progressive lightmapper and Enlighten, Bakery gives much better results and at a lower lightmap resolution + fast bake speeds. EDIT: LOD Lightmap baking now works on Unity 2020.1!!! Tested it and the baked lightmap looks the same as on noLOD tree. It bakes all levels of LOD and the transition between them is seamless :) Best Regards, Justin from LMHPOLY

Excellent Asset - Great Developer Support!

tshaddixon previous version 1.4.2
This asset (as well as many of the other assets this developer makes) is incredible. It looks fantastic, comes with tons of options, and is very easy to use. I ran into some issues with baked lighting and the developer responded promptly with numerous suggestions. I highly recommend the "Bakery" asset alongside this one if you need to bake your lighting.

Great trees, but not great for fps games.

XanNavaon previous version 1.3
The trees pine trees don't have pollies under, which doesn't work for fpses. I do have a back face calling, but that doesn't work for most of the plants.

Thank you for the support, appreciate that! Please, before you review the asset, double check that! There are 2 types of those trees, One sided and Two sided trees. Two sided trees can be seen from the bottom too, so it works on any game type. So when you go inside "Pine_Trees" folder you can see there are 2 folders "OneSided" and "TwoSided". Open "TwoSided" folder and drag the prefab to your scene. You can even see that I mentioned that in the asset description here in the store: "-All Prefab meshes are One Sided as it should be + you get Fir, Palm, and Pine Tree Prefabs with Two-Sided leaves. " I don't know how, but somehow you missed that. Best Regards, Justinas from LMHPoly

This dev really does the hard yards

tomraeganon previous version 1.2
The asset is well organised and is, like all his assets, built upon seriously hard work. The dev is responsive and he appears to provide genuine upgrades to the asset over time. In addition, the modeling itself is just splendid. 1.3 edit: And now snow, for free...a most impressive asset indeed.
