Step 2 of 3 for beginners

I can only comment from the perspective of a beginner whose learning Unity. This is by far the BEST asset to start with on your journey towards game making knowledge. When you start from scratch, you need several things to jump start your skills. 1. Choose a style, I chose 'Low Poly'. 2. Buy a Terrain pack that you can lay out your assets onto. You can't go wrong with this pack, it's well priced and comes with complete and thorough instructions / print-screens that won't confuse. This was crucial for me, particularly at this early stage that I'm at. This developer takes the time to explain concepts like Lighting and Post-Processing and how it can improve the quality, etc. Sure, there are free terrain templates available elsewhere, but it's seriously not worth it if it's buggy. Check the date it was last revised, it can be really frustrating trying to work with something that hasn't kept up with Unity upgrades. Don't even think about creating your own Terrains, you have enough to learn ahead of you without adding this knowledge that you'll only be using a few times. Let the developers and creators give you their best work. Easy to install and use! 3. Buy some Assets, like rocks, trees, and buildings. Learn how to place them on your terrain. You can grab a lot of free one's just to give you practice. I'll leave it there, other than to say, that when you feel like you 'get it', .. as what this Terrain Pack does, it really gives you the confidence to keep learning.

High quality asset. Meshes are well designed, textures are optimized, prefabs are well made with LODs. Tons of variety. Everything is organized, and labeled properly. Author also gives step-by-step guide on how to set up lighting to help make your scenes look great.

It's a steal for the price. I haven't spent too much time with this, but this looks promising so far. It's quick and simple to use and offers a lot of options. I only wish it had a few tiles with rivers merging/splitting, maybe a tile with the river fork and another couple showing the streams flowing out in different directions. If the seller releases an add-on pack with those and some other additions, I'd be glad to pay for it.

Comes with: -good amount of prefabs, but you can tweak assets for even more variety -very useful step-by-step guides and video tuts to set up lighting and post processing in unity's older and newer rendering pipelines for beginners

Very useful asset

Of course, it lacks some forms of land, some textures and a little vegetation to make it a complete tool. But it does tremendous service for a very reasonable price. Thanks to the author for providing good quality documentation. Another purchase that I do not regret!

There are a lot of prefab terrains included but no edge pieces. For example if you wanted to create a barrier around your map you would have to use Polybrush which can be quite difficult.

Hi there, I appreciate your support! I'm working on modular terrain walls that can be used as edges around the map or mountains to level up or down your terrain. In the meantime, you can use 'Mountain' prefabs to add edges to the map ;) Cheers, Justinas LMHPOLY
