Huge amount of animations

If you're making an RPG and need animations, this is a must-get asset. I wouldn't say that the animations are crazy AAA quality, but they are decent quality and there are thousands of them. Also the animations are organized extremely well and seem to be well designed when it comes to keyframing etc

Needs improvement

I spent about an hour and a half just trying to get everything set up. There needs to be a better way of managing all these individual packages. Not only that, but the asset is very unorganized and bloated. I understand that this is all the other assets, but typically what asset devs do is allow you to import individual packages as needed. This requires everything (about 16 gigabytes in total) to be imported, which takes a huge amount of time. Once the asset is imported, it's incredibly difficult to navigate and to understand what and where everything is. There's also an Unreal package for some reason? And the demo scenes are behind a unity package is 160mb, which means it cannot be committed to git without using LFS. I haven't been able to even figure out if the animations this package provides are what I need after over an hour of just trying to get everything imported. I would rather just use something else than try and find out if these animations are useful for my purposes. EDIT: For the sake of transparency, I will keep what I said before, as it was accurate per the release that it was based on, and I believe due to the latest update it reflects positively on the developer that they addressed some of my concerns so quickly. I will further amend the review after I've had a chance to review the latest release in more detail. Per the latest release's changelog: ``` This pack will no longer include animation files, but will instead update each individual asset. Updating this pack would be time-consuming and would continue to increase its size, so we'll be updating each asset individually. Existing purchasers can purchase the asset for free by clicking on the list on the asset description page. Updates will now be applied to each asset individually, so you only need to update the asset in question. ``` This is a good update. Thank you.

You left a long review, but I find it difficult to agree with what you said. 1. I don't think it's my fault that it took an hour and a half to install the assets. This is most likely an issue with your computer's processing speed or a slow unpacking of the Unity package. Of course, this could be due to the large number of animation files. However, I believe this problem is not with my assets, as I confirmed that the package file was installed on my computer within 10 minutes. 2. You said that the assets themselves are not very organized and are large in size. Since there are a lot of animations, the capacity is bound to be large. Also, when installing assets, you can check only the necessary parts and install them. Is this difficult? When I first released animation, this asset was the starting point. As time went on and the number of animations increased, I felt the need to separate them, so I released each action individually. 3. You said it's difficult to understand the assets after importing them. There are parts that I clearly stated in the asset overview. They're largely divided into Unity and Unreal. Unity is humanoid, so it can be applied to most characters. Unreal states that if your character's skeleton is built to Unreal standards, you can install the animations in the corresponding folder. This can also be confirmed in the package contents. Once selected, the list is divided by weapon or action. Is it difficult to check this? If you select the list, you can see that it is divided into details such as whether it is an attack, movement, or some other action. Is it difficult to check this? You can select the detailed list to check the animations, and then choose whether to use Root or Inplace to suit your project. Is this difficult? Some animation sellers have all their animations in one large list, or even in a single file. This is what we call "difficult to understand." 4 I explained the demo scene in the description. I explained that it's just a list of actions placed in the scene, so you can just remove them if you don't need them. Haven't you read it? Thank you so much for your kind message! I'm glad you find the animation package rich and impressive. However, I understand that there is still room for improvement. I was looking for some hand-to-hand combat animations but couldn't find any. As an independent game developer from China, I believe that hand-to-hand combat better reflects the higher realm of Chinese martial arts in my country. I really hope that there will be some cool bare-handed animation resources in the future. What delighted me was the archery animation in the package, which was very impressive, especially the skill part that caught my eye. I am currently developing a Chinese-style Xianxia RPG open-world adventure game. However, I hardly found any animations related to ancient Chinese swordsmen in the store. If possible, it would be great to explore animations in the classical Chinese Xianxia style, such as flying with a sword, manipulating magical treasures, and lightness kung fu on water. These are different from traditional Chinese martial arts animations and are part of the "Xuanhuan" genre that has emerged in China in recent years, like the cloud-riding and seventy-two transformations in the game Black Myth: Wukong. There are simply too few game animation resources in this area. Maybe you are not very familiar with the term "Xuanhuan," but that's okay. This is just a small suggestion from me. My English is not very good, and I used AI for translation. I hope you can understand what I wrote. Finally, thank you very much for the rich animation resources you provided. Great asset pack - just missing unarmed combat anim clips

This is such an amazing set of animations and great value. The only thing that's missing is a set of unarmed combat animations (kick, punch, push, smash etc). I'm not sure why they have been left out. Would love to see these added in the future to round out a great set of animations.

It’s cool asset that allow to setup any features in classic arpg game(root motion and in-place included). One small thing. It’s will be the perfect, if you add few hand attacks(without weapon). So anyway it fully cost this price, tnx!

Sadly this pack made me waste 20 hours of my existence, searching my whole project for the reason why unity wouldn't build anymore. Error:Build completed with a result of 'Failed' in 250 seconds (249658 ms) UnityEditor.dll assembly is referenced by user code, but this is not allowed. Unity of course, because it is the greatest tool, leaves no hint whatsoever. I basically sat there the whole weekend ripping my project apart to find what causes this error. Of course, this is also Unitys fault, but mainly because of this pack, which should have been tested or just some hint or warning, which i don't find anywhere. So basically what caused this issue was the Easy FBX Anim Modifier.dll using a UnityEditor reference. Since this already took so much time from me, i had some more time to leave this review. I hope this will get fixed for anyone else not to waste their precious time. thanks for the reply.

Sorry for wasting your precious time and causing you inconvenience. It seems that the Easy FBX Anim Modifier provided for your convenience has unintentionally caused you inconvenience. I sincerely apologize. I have fixed the relevant part and submitted it to Unity for update. You will receive the updated part today at the earliest and on Monday at the latest. In Ver 1.24, it has been fixed to work only in the editor and can be built normally. I apologize again for the inconvenience. Great animations

I bought this asset a while ago, but many animations were "broken" and unusable, I updated the package out of curiosity a few days ago and I was surprised, there are no more unusable animations, a ton of them have been added and I'm finally starting to integrate it into my project. For what I'm seeing now the package is really fantastic, perfect for a third person RPG. The developer has been very helpfull. Really great job. Update after some hours of usage: during the implementation I realized that unfortunately the movement animations are not all good enough yet, you always have the impression that the movement is "too stiff". Some loops are badly cut and some frames especially in the hip and pelvis movement are not totally correct at least for one of the two legs, usually the right one, giving the impression that the character is limping. Even after duplicating the animations and trying to fix them using the options offered by Unity. At the moment I can't use the movement animations for the main player, maybe I'll be able to reuse them for some NPC or enemy, some rigid one like skeletons or similar. It's a shame because there are also all the start and stop animations, change of direction etc, and I was even thinking of being able to switch to a motion matching system at least for the player. I remove a star in the hope that the dev, always very active, fixes the above. Sorry mate. Further update after several more hours of implementation: I accidentally noticed the presence of the FBX_Unreal_Animations folder and as if by magic they are very good and work with my model, they clearly need to be duplicated and the root transformations set correctly. Even if there are still some small glitches, imperfect loops and jumps of a few pixels in some frames, I will probably need to fix something manually using one of the various tools available on the store, but hey they are definitely better than the unity version, which is probably a conversion of the unreal version. I want to give 5 stars to this asset because it is potentially the solution to many of my problems, absurdly it is precisely the quantity of animations and their duplication in different versions that creates confusion in use. I give 5 stars on the trust that it will be cleaned up and the small glitches will be fixed. I hope this is the last update of the review :) Further update after version 1.20: No words, in 1.20 he fixed the movement animations, added crouches, added other various animations. I also discovered that in the asset there is a simple but convenient script to copy the animations and change the settings in one click. nothing special but convenient. Definitely 6 stars out of 5. Great job guy, thank you.
