its a good asset i believe is the best for legacy pipeline. but i need some support for rendering 360 images using unity recorder(normal render its all ok). its giving me black colors where i using the sss material(both monoscopic and stereoscopic renders) from the asset. i need support please contact me in emotionprodutora@gmail.com

I really liked the asset

I had to spend a lot of time and tests to get the desired result, but I still succeeded and I got a beautiful character skin, and in terms of performance it was within my capabilities, so far I'm not going to give it up, the performance and quality suits me.

I guess if your entire scene is exclusively a face then the asset is ok, but if you have any other decorative scene around it you simply cannot use this asset.
In order for objects to cast shadows on the target object it needs to be rendered again in a special camera. This causes a huge performance bottleneck, making the asset rather unusable.

The best sss shader available for unity

It's really good .. I tried it out it came out real well.. although the hdhead scene shows as a dark scene..and can't see the face except for specular..I was able to use the head on an empty scene and recreate the shader it's very easy for an advanced 3d user.. I will try to post an image of my works if possible.. anybody wishing to use good skin shaders and sss shaders can buy this one for sure.. really a good asset.
Ps: a small tutorial for basic skin shading would be advisable so that beginner users can benefit from it .

It's probably the best subsurface shader on the asset store but unfortunately the best look for your game comes at a tradeoff. When I setup the shader for the best possible results which are equal to Unity's own HDRP SSS - my notebook's GTX 1060 GPU goes from 65C to 100C (which is close to physical failure temperature) in 30-40 seconds so this is sadly unusable for me in the production. But I'm certain the developer will further improve on it so I'd still recommend buying it and supporting the talented and hardworking artists/developers.

The most costly part of this technique is generating the lighting buffer. It is a painful stage of this process because part of the scene must be drawn again. So the cost will be determined by the amount of lights, shadows and objects contained in the layers selected in the SSS script. This process is similar to a planar reflection technique in terms of cost. Most of the work consists of rendering the scene again and that is indeed very expensive.
human skin effect is what i need most. I tried some parameters, but it's hard for me to get the skin effect like your demo.
if update for human sample i'll give 5 stars.
