A really amazing anime-toon shader!

I really like this shader, a-lot of options to adjust.
There is also an included documentation or user guide to know all of it.
Video tutorials list and links is also included on the documentation.
It can also be Unlit by using the SelfLit feature.
Yep, can be Lit and Unlit.
Support is great, I emailed support them when i need help and it responded right away. <3
VRChat and VRC Light Volumes compatible too,
I'm using it for my avatars as well. (^_^)
Overall an amazing anime-toon shader, a PRO anime-toon shader. (^_^)<3

This shader is great,
The light blending is amazing, it is similar to the real anime or toon and it also supports all unity lights and rendering pipelines.
The objects or characters with this shader are not overexposed when there are a lot of lights in the scene, which is really great.
There are a lot of options to tweak to achieve different style or stylized (More than anime or toon looks).
The "Reduce Shadow" feature is unique, it does really reduce those unwanted realtime shadow artifacts without affecting other objects, i use it on character's face.
There is a Perspective Adjustment to adjust the perspective of an object from 3D to 2D.
It includes detailed user guides/documentation with list of support contacts if need guides or help about the asset.
There are also demos for you to observe or look and video tutorials to get you started.
I can use this shader together with unity shaders (From Built-In standard shaders, URP shaders to HDRP shaders) and other shaders i have too.
Realistic environments/backgrounds plus this shader is really possible and blends beautifully.
The RealToon URP and HDRP version has a "On Shader Screen Space Oultine" for a much detailed and better/fast outline.
There is also a Screen Space Rimlight, it's the feature I've been looking for.
The HDRP Version is amazing, all are possible and accurate, in my experience of using it, it also supports DXR/Ray Tracing which is really amazing.
The shader can be use on applications and games that allow custom shaders, like VRChat.
It is easy to use.
*The support is also great, fast responds and helpful.
*Deferred and Forward+ rendering are also supported which is really amazing.
*It gets better and better in every update and fixes all previous errors/issues.
*It also works on Unity 6.
*It also has a compiled RealToon Shader Cache tool management.
*Can affect by Real-Time Lights and can be Unlit (No Real-Time Lights) also.
I'll be mostly using it for games and sometimes in animation or film.
Looking forward for more features and updates.

Versatile and robust toon shader, with active Dev support.

This shader comes with a lot of customizable features you can add or remove as desired with little hassle, and it looks great. It even comes with a post-processing outline, so if you're not too keen on inverse-hull solutions you have an excellent alternative available. Also, the developer is very active and helps out people who are having issues very fast. Very good overall!

这是我见过最全能的Shader资源,适合3D、2.5D,完美解决原版Lit着色器太简陋的问题,可以自由调试阴影、反光、菲涅尔、描边等功能,甚至打开GI选项它看上去就是一个原版Lit着色器
如果你想要做一个2.5D项目,只需要使用这个着色器就可以让2dSpirit受3D世界的光照影响,关闭最底下的ZWrite选项即可解决Z-Fighting的问题并且完全被“图层排序”控制
但是如果要为Spirit渲染的话,它不支持GPU顶点动画,会抛出“xxx is using a shader without GPU deformation support. Switching the renderer over to CPU deformation.”报错,它不影响渲染,但是可能对性能不友好

Hi thank you for using realtoon shader.
To enable GPU deformation, you need to change the shader version from 2.0 to 4.5 before you can use GPU deformation, it is under the realtoon Settings section.

Honestly, I couldn't figure out how to use this asset properly.

Despite being labeled as a “professional” toon shader, it's extremely complex and lacks beginner-friendly guidance.
If you're not looking to dive deep into fine-tuning dozens of parameters, this asset may be practically useless.
It requires a significant amount of shader knowledge to make it look right.
I regret the purchase, as I expected it to work out of the box with minimal setup.

The best Anime shader around

This is and has been the best anime shader out there. The amount of features it provides are second-to-none.
The support is great too; I just asked for support for WebGPU (Experimental as of this writing) on the forum thread, and got it in a few days. One of the best shader around!

I`m truly blown away with the amount of options that are available. I can make many different artstyles and even create new ones.
Thank you for making such a wonderfull shader.
PS: Request to allow even more options <3
- Extra UV slot for a normal map
- Extra UV slot for an albedo map
- New slot for a detail normal map
- More options for triplanar
- UV slot selection option for reflection map
- Mask for reflection map
- Blend mode for Matcaps

High-quality, beautiful and reliable asset

RealToon offers a wide palette of settings that allow for a really tight control over the render. It is very easy to use and together with the Material Variants, great to have because you can enforce visual coherence across the materials of the scene.
The HDRP support also is a rare strength across toon shaders. I found it a little lacking in precisely managing color ramps, but overall this is really an excellently documented, production-ready asset. Users that are into precise anime-style rendering will probably find it absolutely perfect. Users who would like to experiment more might find it slightly limited.
However I have found no support for the shader to work with Unity Terrains (perhaps more specifically in Unity 6 than in former versions, as even a mere unlit shader does bug in U6 which wasn’t the case before). This is a feature I would love to see in the future and the sole reason I do not give a 5/5.
