Thanks for providing us this free Planet shader and shadow system! They are really stunning :) But as one of your reviewer before I am struggling to use it with point lights, as I want to create a full solar system. Please provide us with the information, how to use the system with point light sun , thank you in advance!

It's great this plugin is provided free, but it's worth noting it has a class with the same name as the engine, SceneManager.sc which will break any projects with the default unity scenemanager system implementation. Not too hard to fix but took a minute to figure out that i needed to go throughout my project and change all references to UnityEngine.SceneManagement.Scenemanger, so that it would reference the correct code.

Amazing and detailed. Shadow system doesn't work, including cloud shadows. Planet can only handle a single light source. No dev support. Still good enough for me.

This asset really helped me to get my planets looking good. Only down side for me was the lack of point light support but the developer answered my questions and helped me with all of my problems very actively, he also tried to help me implement the point lights to the best of his extent and I really appreciate that. This asset is also very easy and simple to use which is a huge bonus.

I really like this asset. I'm knocking off one star due to a few minor issues: 1) The shadow of the planet seems to project on the rings causing what looks like a chunk of the rings to go missing in a nonnatural way. 2) Odd things happen if your planets scale is less than 1.0. I believe this is related to the lighting/shadows. 3) Some planets don't need normal maps (I.E. Jupiter) and the requirement of having one is something that should be a thing you can choose to enable/disable.

I had an Earth model hanging in my moon scene in just a few minutes. I haven't gotten to the make your own planet yet (which I consider an asset bonus). But when I do I can rest assured that the included document will guide me well. I'll give this asset 5 stars for this reason: the author took the time to write a well prepared document for a well designed asset. The document here is better than docs included in assets I've spent $25+ on. IMHO, a good doc is an effort an asset author puts forth to help buyers get maximum value. I won't deduct stars for a technical problem because I think it's due to the age of the asset. This asset has a class named "SceneManager" which conflicts with Unity's "SceneManager" built in class. This caused errors but was patched easily by changing this asset's class name to a non-conflicting name. The author should update this asset. All in all, a well done free asset on several fronts. Those who charge for their assets could learn from this free asset.
