Can't get it to work in Unity 5
chaozzon version 1.2.3
I switched back to the default water as I was unable to get Lux Water working in Unity 5. My email to the creator was unanswered. Can't recommend for older project like mine.

The_DArcyon version 1.2.3
Does exactly what I was looking for. Spend some time trying to figure out how to make it look right underwater. But then the magic of RTFM has happened to me and everything worked fine. I'm happy that I found it.

I tried this asset several times on different projects, unfortunately it's badly coded, badly optimized, full of errors, to be avoided

It's good

nastydiaperon version 1.2.3
Not the best. If you want awesome visuals & physics, Crest is what you want. BUT, Crest does not have the precise collision detection that this package has because Crest uses simple distance detection. Lux has great underwater visuals and overall is very good. It is difficult to setup though. It is not a drop & play operation. Many scripts have to be added (same with Crest) and depending on how you want it configured you may even have to do some Shader editing. It's easy to miss things until you've read over the documentation. So why 5 stars? It doesn't have the visuals that Crest has as I've mentioned but the visuals are still very good, underwater caustics & effects are good and the water height detection is the best I've seen. In order for me to use a "swimming" character, Crest just didn't have the capability Lux has. Anyway, both good packages but if you're looking for good water transition detection, specifically for character transitioning underneath the water, Lux is the package to get.

Great Water

Kesariumon version 1.2.3
This worked really well right out of the box and I've been able to customize it and integrate with it and my own project pretty easily. I've got ocean water with big waves and lake water with small waves, and the underwater rendering works for both, I'll even be able to set up muddy water that looks different in some of my lakes. I'm really impressed with what all I'm going to be able to do in my game with this asset. This has been by far the best looking, best performing, and easiest to use water asset for the Built-In Renderer packed with tons of features, that I could find on the asset store.

high performance, fantastic look

bucon previous version 1.2
The water looks fantastic and you can have the camera even just partially under water, plus: the performance is extremly good. The max FPS in my fully fledged scene with huge terrain and lots of forests is around 184 +/- some measuring noise. And turning the water on/off even with underwater rendering has almost no performance impact (in the range of measuring noise). (I'm using custom water meshes, created for my needs and also have turned off tesselation because this meets the desired look.)

The Best Water System
jeremyinteractiveon previous version 1.2.2
I own pretty much every water and weather system on the store, and this is the all around best water system. It looks better than most of them while running on anything, including VR. The underwater rendering is the best I've seen, and works with Dynamic Water Physics for complete water realism. What people are complaining about is generating the scene lighting, and adjusting far clip; which is not this asset's fault, it's Unity 101.
