Forward Rendering
EagleTopGamingon version 1.0.7
I have never wrote a reveiw but this is an awsome asset with great features and controls. It works with VR and forward rendering. However, it massivly increases draw calls because it has to render out depth information for every game object. I am not sure if this is a limit of forward rendering or if you do not have access to the depth info used by standard fog.
For people who really love the style of Firewatch, I cannot recomend this asset enough.

I like it but...

If you use noise it follows the camera around which makes the effect look very fake. It's great if you don't need noise or if your camera doesn't move like in the demo video.

I installed the asset and after tweeking it a good bit I was able to get it to work.
However, it just does not hold up on low poly and or vertex color style games.
I wish there were mor control over the depth, density and scattering

This was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We don't often use plugins from the Asset Store as our programmer likes to ensure everything runs absolutely efficiently for our specfic needs.
I installed Stylized Fog and was quickly able to achieve the look I was aiming for. Thankfully, our programmer was also very impressed with the performance.
I can confirm that this looks good and runs well on both PC and Xbox One.
Thanks for this!
Highly recommended.

The effect is great and well done; however, it does not work for VR. We can't use it for normal PC games either, because our projects will most likely be given VR support later on. For pretty much anything else, this seems perfect. It's so good that Unity should make this an in engine option.

Thanks for you feedback, I tested this on unity 5.3.4p3 and it's compatible with the Oculus Rift DK2. Please contact me by email to figure out what is wrong.

Add a gradient to your fog depth! What a great tool!
Would love more blend mode options... and maybe the option to exclude the skybox….
**EDIT – these features were added just a few weeks after I suggested them! Updating my review to 5 STARS!
Don't hesitate! You need this in every project.

Thanks for the feedback, will definitely add some blending modes. Will also look to exclude skybox.
I was having trouble with tree shaders and the developer responded within 10 minutes. Very helpful, and it sounds like there will be continued updates for this asset which is awesome. Definitely a must-have if you're trying to go for that dramatic Firewatch look.

Thanks! We work with "Deferred + Linear" and fog became a real problem for us. But your Asset helped us a lot.
P.S. That's just not like that you haven't answered my question by email. I would have already bought your Asset many time ago. But it's really works ok.
