Very good plugin. From what I have seen it works perfectly with unity 5. It's a very impressive plugin water is very nice to watch. However It could be very awesome to add some example scene and prefabs. It's not for those who wants a plug and play asset. Despite the lack of documentation its a good job.

Would need better performance

This is mainly for Unity Free version so i took it to have full screen effects. The problem is a simple level runs at 140fps without effects, and it slow down to 80 fps using one single full screen effect effect as Dof or Bloom. So i plan to use full screen effects spartially in game for special occasionnal effects, not during all the game to avoid such performance drop down. If you plan ot use it for full screen effects activated all along your game, beware as it will drop down a lot your initial frame rate. The author seems no more responding or continuing the product. Anyway good package, with interesting effects (crystals, water, fire and others distortions) accessible for Unity free.

awsome web player demos, very misleading, the 10 or so scenes.. all variations of 1 scene with different effect, only 3 prefabs, 1 model, hand full of textures, was expecting some sort of full scene to deconstruct and learn from, i only bought this as i fell in love with the water scene in the webplayer demo and expected to find its scene in the pack.. minus a few models.. no simple set up guide, no tutorial docs/vids, the effects are documented as to what they do.. but not how to use or implement, im sure these shaders are awsome..but with out the proper docs and tuts i have no clue how to use. WASTED CASH

A must have for free users ! But I score only 3 stars because it doesn't work on android devices (the screen turn pink for many users) and I have no reply from the developper about this problem since 2 month, on the official thread :(

I've got Unity 4.3 Pro, set the scripting define symbols, Direct3D11 is off, and the FX Depth Texture component simply doesn't work. This makes depth of field useless. I've tried it in the example scene as well, and nothing. Hopefully there's plans to fix these issues soon.

Hello Really beautiful But these effects lower fps up to 9-8 frames per second are unusable in the project too overly lowering frame rate

Problem comes with speed. With my system it barely hits 44fps when in 960x720 window. 720p runtime - 25 fps 1080p runtime - 14 fps. And i barely scratched surface of scene (high detail terrain, bloom and water) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiAUTv51CSA I hope author will find a way to optimize it.

FXLab cant use real rendertextures without an active Unity Pro license, in this case it will emulate them as fast as possible (in terms of the usage of the available Unity API). This comes with a base performance penality, try to keep the number of render textures at a minimum (use them only when needed). You can also change how often these will be rendered and at which resolution. All of these options will optimize the performance.
