Interesting approach but not a good tool

I wanted to try to use this for mobile but the setup is stupidly hard to setup at first and the documentation explains ZERO about what you need to do to get it running in your scene excepting "bake the cubemap". You need to reverse engineer the demo scene and try to get yours working.
After you get things working, you won't see way better performance on low end devices so well, at least it was interesting.

I changed the layer of "Castle012","Castle02", "Castle03", and "Castle04" to “DynObjects”, but they just don't generate shadows.
(I am using the built in Render Pipeline. Moving the chess pieces, walking and the sliders all work.)

It Still Works and is Very Interesting

Pleased to see that this older asset now works with URP!
There is an #include missing from the ctShadowMap shader which it needs to compile - that's the cause of the error mentioned in an earlier review.
#include "Packages/com.unity.render-pipelines.universal/ShaderLibrary/Core.hlsl"
URP setup is fully explained in the included pdf and it's impressive that the creators updated it so it works with URP with an extra render pass to get the chess pieces shadows working.
This is a demo of a pretty innovative technique to get sharp shadows using an interesting cubemap technique. I'm not sure if I would actually use this but the write-up on it is fascinating!

URP Implementation Documentation

This asset looks great ! I've been able to test / see it running in the built-in render pipeline. kudos on your work ! I noticed the description mentioned a step by step guide for URP, however I can't find it on the readme / website. Can you provide a url to that document ? Thank you !

BEST Looking/Fastest Shadows.

BUG: Dynamic shadows inverted on the editor, BUT only in the editor, they provide a solution on a previous review but that will make shadows show inverted once Built while fixing their position in the Editor preview.
This is the best implmentation of realtime performance firendly shadows I've ever saw. Working flawlessly on PSP2 platform/Unity 2018.2.19f1

In the RoomShadows.shader vertex shader, below -
output.shadowsVertexInScreenCoords = ComputeScreenPos(vertexShadows);
please add:
output.shadowsVertexInScreenCoords.y = output.shadowsVertexInScreenCoords.w - output.shadowsVertexInScreenCoords.y;
I'll work on getting a fixed version uploaded.
