Great Tool, but Needs Update
GermiyanBeyon version 1.8b
I used this amazing tool in Unity 2017 greatly and I was extremely satisfied. Now I updated my project to Unity 2019 and this is no longer working well. For instance, specular setup is completely broken and you can no longer use Colorify Specular shader, it simply does not do any change on the material. Also when you move your materials designed with Colorify in 2017 to Unity 2019 project, the colors appear very different, so all your works in 2017 can be lost (mine is lost and I don't want to return to 2017 project, so I have to remake my materials). In summary, Colorify needs Unity 2019 support for me. Here, once great tools are getting old unfortunately and this one needs some maintenance. I will update my review once the asset gets the needed updates.

It took me a moment to figure out how to get my Photoshop layers to work as supposed to (just like creating a white glow layer works fine it turns out) - but once I got there this was really powerful. I might still have to experiment to get to the 2 color level - but I am not sure I really need that to begin with. As for the auto creation in Unity - it works, but I wasn't as happy with the results as cutting the parts myself in Photoshop. Too many stray areas were affected - of course that is very source texture dependent.

This saves me so much time when I want simple color changes. All the options I need and simple enough to use. Thank you! I notice this hasn't been updated for a while, I hope to see it upgraded with major Unity upgrades? Didnt encounter bugs so far, though.

Thanks for feedback! Next update is coming during November and will include result baking, changes to recoloring algorithm for more precise recoloring and updates to Standard shader to keep up with Unity standard shader. Edit: Sorry for the delay, Unity 5.5 release created additional changes to be done.

How many times have you bought a model on the store that needs to be color tweaked? With this amazing tool you will be able to recolor any part right inside unity. Even for a non-artist like myself, I get great results without any real work. It's a steal at its current price. I use it in all of my projects - it's that good.

pretty impressed, very easy to use and allows for tons of color combinations. From blood on your swords to different color enemies, this does it all.

Just so amazingly useful... and now compatible with Unity 5.x

Just to chip in that I've only started playing with this Asset and I can only wonder why no-one else has thought to develop it before - it's just so chuffing useful! All the applications it can be put to, the mind boggles. Will help me massively reduce the potential resources in my game. Say you had a decent sword model but you wants iron swords, fire swords, steel swords, etc etc - well, you could create a raft of different models and materials or.... you could use Colorify on just the one model and material. 'nuff said.
