Does what it says on the tin
alsoknownas-stefanon version 2025.4
Does what it says on the tin. Only gripe is that some examples in the promotional videos are not in the demo's, minus one star. I bought this explicitly for the example of the humanoid robot character dissolving into existence, not present in the demo scenes, having to figure it out on my own.

Humanoid robot is from the "Adam Character Pack". It is free asset by Unity Technologies.

The documentation is very good.
And the asset realy does its job very well! If you need to have something like this this is realy must have asset, easy to use!
It supports LTS verisons! Notice that! :)

When you buy shader from store...

lidoGames94on previous version 2022.6
It must work as shown in the video. There is no such a thing you have to upgrade the whole Unity Editor to use this -No Body In The World Can Do Asset.- The reason I did 3 Stars because they deleted my reviews. I bought this asset with real money like anybody else. So That makes me a tax payer too. Please Stop Publishing Asset That Doesn't Work With Versions People Have. We Don't Find Money In The Street. Thanks

Asset supported Unity versions are listed in the description.
It is clearly written that only Unity LTS versions are supported.
Why did you buy this asset if you can not upgrade your project to the LTS version?

I checked out 15 different packages and selected this one

Damondiumon previous version 2023.3
I haven't spent a lot of time on it yet, but I was up and running and able to do exactly what I set out to do (materialize/dematerialize) in minutes. I was looking for URP, VR support, ease of use. Made a list of 15 similar assets on the store. Eliminated the ones with complaints, not clearly supporting URP, or not updated in a long time and then looked for VR support. This was one of 2 remaining and the other one apparently doesn't support emissive materials (which I use). Bought, installed, and had what I needed within minutes. If I use it for more than the basics will update review later, but wanted to give a shout out about my wonderful experience. - Damon

This is nothing other than an amazing asset/product.
Yes it says advanced but the documentation is super easy to digest. No to mention the support is incredible.I had an issue which was outside the assets scope but the developer helped me on this.
I highly recommend this asset.
Search no more for dissolve vfx…

Changed to this from a different dissolve/fade asset and expected the same level of hassle in terms of set up but was stunned how quickly I could create a basic version of what I needed! And this was just by looking at how one of the demo scenes was made - haven't even delved fully into the manual yet so I'm certain there are even more great features I haven't touched. Superb!

I very much appreciate that the author was thorough and thoughtful with the available shaders. It works out of the box for every material I have. I'm using unity 2021.3.x and the effects look as advertised.
My one request would be that instead of the geometric controller script taking an array of materials, that the script would have an additional option to take an array of gameobjects and the applicable shader in lieu of the material array.
I have a lot of objects that share the same material that could end up in the same space of something I want to dissolve, but I don't want to dissolve them all.
It would be helpful if the code could be made to loop through renderers of the game object, grab the materials, and assign the shader. This should create a new instance of the material at runtime, which could be dangerous for some use cases, but useful for mine.
Currently, I'm just making a duplicate of these shared materials and applying the applicable shader to those and assigning a different duplicate for each object I'm running into this issue with.
All that being said, there may be some feature hidden somewhere that takes care of this issue already, but I haven't found it. Either way, this shouldn't deter anyone from getting this asset, it's great.

Material editors in Unity are not capable of displaying some properties required by this asset - Arrays and Matrices. But this engine limitation can be easily fixed by using scripts.
Think about package included controller scripts as an extension for material editor - they update materials with Array and Matrix data (that is not possible to do otherwise).
Each material needs its own controller script - editor.
If several objects need different cutout effects, each one needs to use different materials (with its own controller script). Why?
Because, cutout properties (even they cannot be displayed inside material editor) are the common shader properties like Color, Texture or Float values. And if any of the those properties needs to be different on several objects, you have to create material duplicates and adjust properties individually.
If you use one material on multiple objects - visual effect will be the same for all of them.
