I'm using Unity 2018.3.8. These work like a charm! I purchased this specifically for the tornado, as it's by far the best looking I've seen on the store. It looks even better in the game! Very nice!

Excellent asset. A great way of getting some nice free 3D rain and snow into your game, and nice "wind" particle effects, each have 3 stages of intensity. Creates a great atmosphere. Very happy!

Great Particle System But missing some effects

I have used a few other weather systems but really like this one the most. Really easy to setup. It really lacks lighting effects, thunder bolts and fire particles. But again its a great weather system. I can see a huge potential and growth in this system.

Not a bad particle system (for it's time)

Overall the quality and variety in this package are great. Being that it was made in Unity 3.5, and still making it on the Deal of the Day page is a testament to it's endurance, however, it is a bit dated, and there is a very distinct visual difference between how it looks then vs Unity 5 with PBR environments. I would love to see an update from the publisher addressing the fidelity on this

Ok but does not look good in VR

I am looking for Weather FX that look good in VR right now and have just evaluated StormFX. Overall all the FX look a tad too stylized for my taste, the rain is OK (but not the best I have tested, the colission splashes are too stylized for my taste). The snow looks plain wrong when seen through Oculus VR, as the flakes are not single particles but seem to be mapped on larger planes that can clearly be distinguished when seen in VR camera and thus look fake. Also the default size of the snow FX seems to be unrealistically large (even in the demo scenes). The wind FX is also mapped to large planes, probably to increase performance. They are unfortunately very obvious when touching the big rocks that clutter my test scene. Otherwise the wind FX look very nice. I know that the asset is not designed with VR in mind, I just wanted to mention that for others looking for VR weather.In my particular test scene most FX unfortunately do not fit in out of the box and I have to consider the asset not VR ready. Since the asset does not claim that I don`t want to hold it against it. All FX run without errors and would fit in nicely into conventional camera scenes I am sure. The minus 1 star ist mainly for the default size and that there is no snow that has individual planes for flakes, I would have liked to have more choices here, even at the cost of lesser performance.

Great effects for the the price and they add that nice little extra zing to a scene! Only let down was the rain drops dont splash on the terrain mesh just the initial starting plane at 0, any word on and update on that would be much appreciated

These effects are amazing. Top Notch. The rain and snow look great. The tornado is super cool. The wind/smoke looks OK (But with some messing around it looks better). The clouds look fine as they do move, but you can also get a 2d cloud setup that looks better. the clouds are more like particles in the air than photo realistic clouds which I prefer. You do need a particle scaler to make these bigger to meet your needs.

Everything in this package is realistic, easy to use, but I just can't figure how to make the water to splash on the ground and on buildings, the rain drops go straight through. Overall great package :)

Hi Sean, You have to assign particle collision meshes inside Shuriken to tell the particles what you'd like to collide with. It is not automatic.
