This is hands down the best graph framework I've found so far! I built a pretty darn fleshed out dialogue system from scratch and implemented it over my old one in just a few days with this. I've tried several other frameworks such as Unity's quickly aging GraphView and their in-development GraphToolsFoundation and both suffer from just a liiiitle (a metric ton) bit of unnecessary complication that hinders expandability not to mention how limited in functionality they were for my use case.
TL;DR I totally recommend this asset if you're looking for a graph framework. Very easy and intuitive to use. Thanks Author!

Bug on macos unity 2021

Hey, the asset look great but i do have a problem since I moved to unity 2021. The nodes background and ports are not drawing anymore so I cant link them together anymore and everything feel broken. I really need to move on with my project so If it doesnt get fixed real soon i'll start looking to other solutions, if possible with more frequent updates. Sorry.

I've been using the open-source version from Github for a while for various projects, figured it was finally time to pay for it. The documentation is good and the source code is intuitive and readable, and easy to extend without much boilerplate. Great node asset.

I don't have a lot of coding experience, and extending a generic solution was intimidating at first but it's actually very easy.
Xnode is simple but powerful, whether that's for dialogue, artificial intelligence, or anything else you might need a node-based visual editor for.
The only negative thing I would say is that the documentation could be a little more thorough, but it covers the main concepts you need to know.
Currently, I'm using it to develop a custom tool for a choose your own adventure game, which it's perfect for. I've heard good things from my team, who are non-coders, about how the result is intuitive and easy to use.

XNode is great tool but you must remember, this is generic solution so it is very probably that you will be forced to write some amount of customization code. Still you have all source code and can do anything you need. It is easier, faster to setup and iterate (in my opinion) than Unity's graphs solution.

Overall this is very robust and solid graph editor. Best choice out there to write your own AI or Dialogues system.
A little bit confusing at first, but with a little practice creating custom nodes will become almost as easy as regular MonoBehaviours.

Node-based system have different needs and it's hard to have a solution that fits them all.
xNode however takes the approach of having a basic and very customizable base that doesn't assume anything but rather provide the right tools to build your own implementation.
