Perfect little plugin!

Works great, even in Unity 2022.3.x -- I tried out the free one, and it worked great, and I knew this was what I needed.
Where I'm using this is this: I got a bunch of 3D models from the artist and everything was grouped under one (empty) parent gameobject. This is the perfect scenario for this plugin, because it won't work on objects with a mesh.
Also, if you need to change the individual pivot of an item like a wheel or something, it can enclose it in an empty gameobject and then easily center that object or whatever.
Super, super useful and saved me a ton of time.

Not a transform tool..

I thought this was for allowing rotation and movement (translation) of objects but it is literally JUST a way to move the pivot point and that is it. If this were a transform tool it would be worth the money but something as limited in what it does (despite doing it well) is worth about half the cost in my opinion. I gave 4 stars for vague description of the intended purpose of this tool. Otherwise, it does what it is supposed to, I just wish I knew what it was before buying thinking that I could use this to move objects and rotate them during runtime..

I am sorry the tool wasn't what you expected. I didn't want the asset description to be misleading, it doesn't pretend to be a transform tool, it's written "Easily and quickly move and rotate the pivot point of GameObjects groups..." which is I think, an accurate description.
In addition there is the Super Pivot Free version that does exactly the same thing, with less features, so you can have a better idea of what the plugin does.
Anyway, I hope you could find some good use of the plugin.

Handy pivot adjustment plug-in that you must have in Unity!

I always struggle with Unity pivot system(especially changing group pivot). After I found this plug-in most of frustrations were gone. I also had few suggestions for the tool and developer responded quickly and made those customized changes for me. I highly recommend this useful plug-in if you have plan to manage many objects in Unity!

This is really convenient.
I created a simple script to adjust the pivot (similar to some free assets here on the store) but the Super Pivot workflow is faster: Hit a button at the transform component, move some sliders, everything is visualized, just move on and that's it. Most of the time that means two or three mouse clicks. If you have to adjust pivots frequently, this is very helpful.
There was a review here, that stated that this asset does not work. It certainly does work in 2020.3+ (and I don't see how the transform component would behave different in any other Unity version). Of course you have to hit the "Toggle Tool Handle Position" icon to show the pivot instead of the object center to see the change.

Hello, thanks for the review, even if I am really sorry to here that.
I don't really understand your review, since it does change the pivot position of GameObjects (you can visualize the gizmos of unity so they are at the pivot position of the GameObjects, and you would see that it changes), except for some limitations explained in the plugin description (meshes...).
Please also note that there is a free version available which basically does the same thing with less features, so you could tell if the asset is useful to you.
Anyway please get in touch with me so I could request a refund since you are not satisfied.

I'm used to being able to change the pivot point in modelling software, whereas in unity it has always been a frustrating process. This simple but effective tool saves so much time and effort. Highly recommend it, but I would advise reading the description because it does have a few understandable limitations.

Admittedly, the store description says it, and I suck at reading... but ... 99.99% of all gameobjects have a mesh.
It's sad this tool doesn't support mesh transforms. This drastically limits its uses.

Sorry you were not fully satisfied with the plugin.
Indeed this limitation is stated: the problem with modifying the pivot of a mesh is that it would involve modifying the mesh asset itself...
However the plugin offers a convenient button to wrap any object into a parent GameObject, and then you can change the pivot of this new GameObject. It's not the same thing for sure, but it offers a workaround to compensate this limitation.

This allows you to quickly set an object pivot with precision. One of my favorite assets. This works perfect with procedural level generators like Dungen http://bit.ly/2rx3q1q
I got strange behavior when trying to set a pivot on a prefab. I had to unpack the prefab, duh ;)

No worries about the prefab, it would problematic if nested prefabs did get their pivot changed. It's the perfect tool. Although it would be helpful to get a warning dialogue for people like me that would try such a thing.

Asset is amazing time saver, make sure to use in prefab mode if using new workflow, else creates an error and gives empty GO in hierarchy. Haven't had any complaints, works as intended. But, I would love for it to have additional 'set rotation of pivot' functionality as some modeling software has different axe system it brings into Unity (would pay) :)
