I've been using this exporter for 10 years and it still works exactly as it always has. I just updated my projects to the current Unity version (UE 6000.0.30f1) and it works perfectly. I have no idea why the other reviews state that it doesn't work but the OBJ format hasn't changed significantly in 20 years. The asset works fine. To use: You can export the entire scene or just selected objects. For texture export, you have to enable the read/write setting for textures. If you want more robust export options in Unity, install the FBX Exporter package from the Unity Registry.

you can install it but the exportet files are all abstract spike/hills (watched in f3d) - before a sofa - in blender dont anything, blender dont open anything from this.
The programm are to old and code are not working anymore - api has chanceg - I tryed both automaticle update with blender oder not.

Doesnt work, but found a good alternative

This asset doesnt seem to work very well, as the exporting freezes on Unity 2021 and i cant get it to unfreeze.
I see a lot of people are having problems with this as well and i have a solution. If you install Unity's FBX Exporter (by searching it up in the Package Manager), you can put everything in your scene under one parent object, and export that object into an FBX, along with everything else. (Then you can just CTRL Z) You can then convert the FBX to OBJ using an online converter. Not hard to find with a Google Search. Your welcome.
(EDIT: Never mind this does not work at all lol)

Great template to understand OBJ structure

I needed to export scene objects as a 3D scene in runtime and that asset is a great to understand how is Obj built. I easily refactored the code to my requirements to work in runtime, with runtime generated textures and different instances of the same materials. Thanks for this plugin, it saved me a lot of time to investigate how to create obj files!

I was at a loss as to where it worked.
Find [File] > [Export] >[Wavefront OBJ]

A really vaulable asset!

I'm big on creating blank level layouts and building final builds on top of it. And this asset makes it a whole lot easier! All I have to do is export the scene and that's it!
I do want to say that if you're using Blender 2.79+ And the scene doesn't load, try using a exterior model viewer/conversation program like Noesis to re-export it to another file type and you'll good to go!
