I just dragged directory into this tool window, smashed few buttons and 1GB directory of tga textures turned into 50mb. All references is handled, prefabs is good.
Really great!
I missed two things:
1)no options to automatically destroy original textures.
2)after resizing, the Tool starts "collecting dependencies" for the whole project files.
But there is a LOT of files in my project!
Currently waiting 40 minutes after resizing of 250 textures(which takes around 5-10 min). Even with NVMe drive ang fast CPU, OMG!
I really know that resized textures will not affect any of my scenes or so, because I resize textures from just recently imported model pack.
Maybe option to filter "dependency check" scope will be useful.
Great tool, anyway!

Best Tool for vrchat file compression EVER!!!

If you are looking for a tool to automate file size reduction for your vrchat worlds or your vrchat avitars, THIS DOES THE JOB BETTER THEN ANYTHING ELSE IVE TRIED !!!, and ive been developing assets for vrchat since 2018!!! this is by far the best tool i could ask for when developing worlds / avitars for comissions. its in ALL of my projects now. !!! 1000000/10 would give it a higher score it i could. !!!
p.s. hey devs. if you wouldnt mind makeing / adding a button to the tool that would allow us to easily swap the shaders from the current ones to vrchat mobile shaders that would be amazing, thank youuuuuu!!!

Reduced the size of my project by ~ 50% (on disk)

Resize Pro worked as advertised. I was hesitant to pay full price for this asset, but I’m ultimately glad I did.
Batching groups of files and automatically using the newly modified textures was a huge time-saver.
Resize pro spends a few extra seconds and checks the dependencies for all instances of the textures / material. I encountered a problem were Resize Pro would stop part way through checking my assets due to a faulty prefab leaving the remaining dependencies unresolved. It was easy to pinpoint the prefab (a fern) causing the problem, and once it was fixed, there were no further problems
It took a few hours, but the size of my project was greatly reduced after using this asset. Most .tga textures were replaced with .png, and some 4k textures were replaced with 2k or 2k by 1k, etc.
The only improvement I could recommend would be to include an option to auto-delete the old textures instead of keeping them as backups. I had to manually delete them as an additional step.

This is a very convenient and intuitive tool. The function of automatic replacing the converted texture in materials is simply brilliant. Thanks to this utility, I was able to reduce the size of the original projects by tens of gigabytes by converting TGA and TIFF to PNG.
