Totally worth it because of time saved

If you're like me and you have too many asset packs that you'd rather maintain in "raw" form on the file system rather than import every one into every project every time, then this will save you tons of time. The bigger your project gets, the more time it takes to add an asset package to the project. Likewise, the bigger the asset package, the longer it takes. So, with this, you can go through all your pre-downloaded packages and check all the assets you want imported. You can then walk away for an hour or 10 while it cycles through all of them doing an auto-import on each. This means you can do what I did today -- I queued up 100+ SFX packs to import to a dummy project so that I could strip all the files and put them on the file system elsewhere, unpacked... allowing me to then pick and choose which audio files from each pack I actually want in my project as opposed to, in some cases, adding 10+ GB of files and having to delete the ones I don't want. Plus I can now go through the files outside of Unity for review, modification, etc. If you do this manually in the Unity UI, you'll have to waste the time waiting for it to unpack and decrypt and all that just for you to then hit the import button on the assets and then wait who knows how long to get back and do the next package. With this package you can choose 100 packs and walk away for 10+ hours while it does all the work for you. Some packs like Gaia can take 30+ minutes by themselves, or more on a big project, so it's worth it just to check the quick import and walk away. The asset is also great for organizing often used packs, browsing according to store categories, and organizing unitypackage files on the file system that were obtained outside of the asset store (i.e. from the Synty Store, etc.). A couple notes of caution, however -- as far as I know, it can't download your assets from the asset store for you, so you have to go to package manager and download them first. This can be tedious if you have a lot of packs. Also, if the asset package you want to install comes with project settings to overwrite, the quick import feature of this product will do that for you. If you don't want your project settings overwritten, install those asset packs manually. If there are some assets in a pack you need to uncheck and leave unimported, do those manually as well. This is well worth it at the full price and a steal on sale, so what are you waiting for? Buy it.

Helps to have your assets sorted

truehon previous version 1.43.9000
I have been using Project Asset Manager for several months and I find it useful and easy to use. The asset works fine although I have found a couple of bugs. I contacted with the author and he produced patches to solve them in no time. If you have a lot of assets, this is a really nice tool to keep them sorted. It is also nice to produce project templates which can be reused. I recommend Project Asset Manager to everybody.

A must have asset!

I bought many assets in the past but always find it was a bit difficult and time consuming to manage all of them. Now I can load all my essential assets in no time automatically just by importing Project Asset Manager first. This feature alone is so useful! The "Recent" tab is also really convenient. This tab shows your asset collection but with nice images so you can easily add them to your project. For example clicking 6 or 7 asset images and selecting "import fast" will import all 6 or 7 assets in one go. Awesome! Thank you so much for this invaluable asset!

Time Saver

I enjoy prototyping with Unity and create multiple projects per week. I have to import several assets for every project and this tool saves me a lot of time. The grouping makes assets easy to find, especially when you have thousands of them. There's a quick installation and an interactive installation mode. The interactive one provides the Unity standard mechanism where you have to confirm every import dialog manually. The quick installation mode is the one I prefer, i. e. just click the assets I want in the project and import them automatically without further ado. Another great feature is the ability to classify assets as Essentials. It acts as a favoriting mechanism with which you can have even quicker access to commonly used assets. I wish the Package Manager would be capable of doing what this asset can do.

Extremely useful asset! A must have!

It just works, it is convenient and saves so much time when creating a new project. Mark the assets you want as essential ones and they will install automatically when installing this asset for the time without you having anything to do but just be plainly satisfied :) Thanks for making this available - it should be part of Unity. It is also cheap for what you get in return.

Fantastic Tool!

How else can you easily keep track of what you have and haven't installed in your project? Plus a whole lot more, this is the first thing that you'll want to install, then it'll take care of the rest.

Literally one of the best things on the store

If you have lots of assets, this is a must-buy time saver. One click importing is a godsend. This does what Unity should do. So far, I've had it for two months and eight days and it's saved me at least 15 hours of time having to bounce back and forth from my keyboard to import assets.

Very promissing, incredible support!

Having more than 1300 assets, I needed a better solution than the Package Manager to find my hands and legs. I'm just in the beginning of exploring AM but I have the feeling that it is a life saver. I was surprised to get a super-fast support in the Discord channel during 1/1/2022 (the least date you would expect to get any attention) - took few minutes, "door to door" to clarify an issue I had encountered. Amazing!

BUY THIS NOW! Don't think, just click buy!

I think this is the only tool like it in existence in the asset store, and it definitely simplifies things. There are a few features I would like but the dev is responsive and he says he's working on them. I expect as the tool progresses he'll probably charge more for it; as it's worth more than what he's asking right now, IMO, buying this now is a no brainer. Having packages auto-sorted, and the preview features that it adds to the package importer are great. Having essential packages are awesome. Being able to manage and import packages easily that are outside of the Unity asset store (ones you buy or ones you write your own) is awesome. Audio management, texture management, git integration.. the list goes on. Don't think, just click buy!

An essential tool

Gildar76on previous version 1.40.910273
This is a very useful tool, especially if you are creating a lot of new projects to try things out and have some tools you want in every project. I honestly wish the package manager worked like this. The essential feature that lets you create a list of favorate assets that you can easily get into all, or some of your projects after you import Project asset manager alone makes this asset worth important. Add to that, easy and very fast package search and all the other features, and you have an asset you'll use in every project. Even if you are only using this as an easier version of the package manager for your downloaded assets, it's very handy. I've been using this since it was in early development, and it's always the first thing I import into a new project.
