A Couple of clicks and you are done creating excellent LOD's and someday I may use the other Bonus Features.
Conflicts with Procedural Worlds GTS Asset. I told them many months ago but they seem to use the same Open Source Scripts that you do. After 2 Patches They still have not fixed it. I think you're Load and Decimation Asset was created before theirs. I have to heavily edit Their scripts so that I can use your Asset and Theirs.
Also Perhaps make it 1 click to make more then the default 4 Lod's, the Advanced Feature to make more Lod's is a bit Clunky. : Thanks for the info.

As you've mentioned, MeshKit has been around for about 10 years! This is the first time a conflict has been reported so it is very likely to be something going on with the other asset.
You may be happy to know that there is an easy way to copy / paste the setups of MeshKit's Advanced LOD settings to other objects. I've recently written about how you can do that on the Unity forum here:

It's a must have asset

It simply works. And it works very well.
The one thing I would love to see is an option to automatically create a combined folder. Every object I need to combine I have to manually create a new folder and accept a ton of dialog messages.

Tool for Optimizing Game Performance!

MeshKit is an excellent asset that has significantly improved the performance of my game. It offers a powerful set of tools for managing and optimizing meshes, which has helped reduce draw calls and improve FPS. The atlasing feature works flawlessly, and the separation of transparent and opaque meshes is a great way to optimize materials and shaders.
On top of that, the developer is incredibly responsive and helpful. I encountered some issues with texture packing, and they went above and beyond to create a custom fix, ensuring everything worked perfectly. This level of support is rare, and it's one of the reasons I highly recommend this asset.
Overall, MeshKit is a must-have for anyone looking to boost game performance without sacrificing visual quality.

I have an original CAD model that I need to make a walk through app for. It has literally hundreds of millions of polygons and hundreds of thousands of objects.
If I just import the whole FBX into Unity, Unity crashes.
I was exporting individual parts into FBX, then brining them into Blender and then decimating them and combining the objects (they take lots of memory).
With this asset I am able to bring in an FBX with lots of objects and polygons, separate it and then combine it and suddenly everything runs super smooth and the meshes look awesome!

I was starting to learn Blender how to split some meshes which had multiple materials assigned (which is very bad for draw calls)... but after too many hours of fighting with Blender, my friend recommended this asset and it was a total life-saver! It saved me sooooo many hours of splitting 100 meshes so that each sub-mesh only had 1 material (important for standalone VR with limited resources) - it's just one click... and a 2nd click "are you sure?" YES i'm sure! Otherwise i wouldnt press the button to separate! haha - other than that, great asset.

Intuitive and easy to use tool. At first, I had an issue with a very high poly tree LODs, so I reached out developer. Mel replied withing minutes if not seconds, dived into the issue right away (even though it was a weekend), and has solved the issue with a rocket speed! So happy with the purchase, going to create LODs using this tool for every possible object in my project (asset's settings are so flexible and powerful!), and learn if I can use the rest of the features in the meantime )

Mesh kit is working well for the purposes that I have for it with doing mesh separation.
The author is really supportive and provided an example script for an upcoming feature and it does exactly what I needed, thanks!

This asset does exactly what it says it will do. The separation-by-material alone makes it worth it. I had an issue with separating causing the model to get garbled, but developer responded and walked me through the fix within a couple minutes of me reporting the issue. Cannot recommend highly enough!
