This asset is, without exaggeration, one of the most impressive tools I’ve ever used. I haven’t relied on Unity’s default console in years because of it. At this point, I genuinely can’t imagine working in Unity without Console Pro—it’s that essential.
I recently reached out to the developer about a minor issue, and they resolved it flawlessly. I’m incredibly grateful for the support.
It’s been several years since I first purchased this asset, and I noticed it seems to have been refreshed on the Asset Store, so I’m leaving this review again after my previous one disappeared.
Thank you for creating such an outstanding tool.

Just getting to grips with it and its feature set. I can say that my initial impression is extremely positive. I'll update my review if I find otherwise, but this is a massive improvement over the default console. The feature set is impressive, and the time it would take to replicate it outstrips the price many times over.
If my standpoint changes I'll update my review, but I'm definitely happy to have taken the plunge.

I've been using this console for a few years across many different companies and projects. If you're not afraid to spend some time setting up custom filters and logic, you can seriously supercharge your productivity with this tool.
Although I have encountered a few bugs over the years, the developer is incredibly active and would always get back to me with a fix within 24 hours.
Highly recommended for everyone - doesn't matter if you're a small indie or a proper studio, you will not regret getting this asset.

I got this asset on sale when CODEMONKEY sent me here, but I had some issues initially with it. Well, instead of writing a bad review like a baby, I reached out to the developer. I never really expect too too much from that but Ed responded right away and then we worked together on a few issues that I had with the asset. He had everything fixed within a couple days which is .. I mean, that's unheard of in this industry. Big thanks to the developer, I hope you get more shout outs, this is a great utility and combined with hot reload made debugging a really major issue in my code really easy. A pleasure!
Great asset, if you dig into it and learn how to use it your mileage can go a long way. I think custom filters and the search can really change how you think about logging. There's nothing wrong with having a decent stream of messages now. It could save you from having to go through your code and re-enable logs that you've previously disabled. You can filter logs based on class name. I mean that's insanely useful!

This is one , if not the first asset I add to a a project in Unity!
Small Caveat: Any Chance of getting a update for 6.3 (and onwards?)

This was among the very first assets I bought and it was a great choice. Still is, honestly, and I even just use the basics it offers. Jumping to positions inside the code where errors appear makes working with the console so much more enjoyable and easier. Never had a single issue with this asset. Great work!

Purchased this in 2017, and only now (yes 8 years later) I installed it in Unity 6000.2 . It just works and easy to use.
Without reading any documentation, I just set up some filters with custom colors to see different types of logged events more easily.
Works flawlessly and is really a time saver.

Generally good but missing some functionality

I wanted to fully replace Unity's built-in console with this improved version. But it does not seem to be possible:
* Most important: no support for standalone profiler window. That one still has legacy console with no way to open Console Pro.
* Does not follow the default UI design of legacy console, so adjusting takes time. You can get close to it by adjusting preferences, but never close enough.
* Does not override behaviour of Add Tab -> Console, Window -> General -> Console and Ctrl+Shift+C hotkey, so you occasionally still open legacy console.
* No way to connect console to build.
* No option to switch the design of logs themselves to be closer to original console design, with no columns and big icons. I like the new one but I would like the option to be there.
* While there's a way to get some settings to be per-project instead of per-user, it's only available to limited functionality such as filters, and not other preferences.
For now it's a good addition, but not a replacement.
