I've seen a lot of negative reviews about this asset lately, which made me hesitate to buy it, but god I'm glad I did!
I reduced my project from 21 GB to 700 MB. I had a lot of unused assets imported from packages I purchased, and this resource identified them all and removed them flawlessly from my scenes. Thanks to the developer for this great resource!

In MacOs, Unity 6.000, I expected to clean up my unused assets such as prefabs, sprites that have no any references. But this asset never caught most of them, rather it caught only some assets mixed unused and used. I was very embarassed and sent mail to get a refund to their public E-mail, but there's no any response from them over three weeks. Please be careful if you want to buy this asset.

worst asset & dangerous

so this asset claims to delete unused asset based on build logs. now i deleted all unused asset based on the list shown after the build , but it also deleted all the scenes files itself which were in build. wow what a logic , the IQ level of author is 100%. morever it also deleted various source of prefabs which were used in the scenes. deleted all the lightmaps, UI templates, so it can't even detect what assets are being used in the scene and its source fbx. manually deleting is nightmare for big projects which is generally 100 of GB. i didnt able to find reverse select option. where you can choose few asset and delete all the others . its only good for small projects but it defeats the whole purpose of the asset. i was just laughing after the deletion. but i was lucky as i had already saved project in different hardisk

This asset highlights my main game folder which is every single file used in the project as unused assets.I don't think this is the intended purpose of the asset!

I havent seeen your project, but it will only highlight the assets which are unused (Depending on which scenes you have added to buildsettings).
Your main folder will show up, but only the unused asset within it are marked as unused
was just finishing up a project for my master's degree program and knew I had a lot of unused assets. I did some research and this program came highly recommended. I ran it (with the backup), and opened the project - everything was messed up so I was like great - I've got a backup. But, when I open the backup, my main scene is gone. My menu scene is fine, but the actual game scene is gone. All my scripts are still there, and possibly my assets, but no scene. I'm screwed.

Hi momalboe. Truly sorry to hear about your lost data.
I tried to repro, but was unable to. Backup recovered scene as well as assets.
Only thing I can think of is if you perhaps deleted asset multiple times and did an override on the backup file?
Regardless, I am sorry you lost work and hope you are using version control.
The duplicate hunter used up all the memory on pc and crashed my computer. On top of that after creating a build, it listed practically all of my assets as unused. I'm sure there's a way to fix the problems i experienced, and clearly the asset works well under the right conditions, but had to resort to requesting a refund this time around. The developer responded quickly and was able to help me out

ouch, sorry to hear about your experience with AHP. I have been unable to reproduce the issue so if there was any errors in log, please forward them to me if you have time.
I thought this asset would help me clear unnecessary assets I did not need from my build by showing me all the assets a scene is using but I continue to see a Crash when I try to see the dependencies. I would like a refund. I was able to resolve my build issues without this asset. Please Refund.

With regards to getting a refund - its not the correct way to write in the reviews section. I cannot process refunds - Unity themselves does that.

This asset was extremely dangerous. It deleted most of the objects in use in my project that was being developed with URP.
Although I was able to recover from a backup after a long time, it keeps trying to delete used files as if they were unused, no matter how many times I try.
Looking at comments from other users, it seems there is a bug only with projects created with URP.
Since I mainly use URP, this asset is unusable for me. It's disappointing.

This is a great tool for identifying and removing unused stuff in your Unity project.
Like most things, with great power comes great responsibility, and you have to exercise a bit of due diligence. It's not a tool to "fire and forget", and you need to take your time to ensure you don't purge something you need.
The asset is constantly updated, which is a big plus in my book. Highly recommended.

You are definitely right about due dilligence, Game Development is advanced and while taking as much as possible under consideration in AHP, its always recommended to be cautious and use version control when deleting a lot of assets
This was the perfect tool I needed and I ran it on my Unity project and had it strip away unused assets. Unfortunately that wrecked my project. I reverted and ran the analysis again and this time due into the assets it flagged as not being used and saw that it had flagged multiple image assets and all my localization files. I wish the tool worked as indicated but unfortunately it purged a ton of images referenced in the scene making it useless
