Great looking for waters & rivers, quality, and simple use, along with 2017 and lower-higher versions support as well. If you have a simple water script of a kind - you can just use this asset and attach collider trigger top next to surface of RAM made waters and you have yourself the waters and rivers problem solved, which is what works very well for our projects, over here at least. It is able to do so much more, including (the same way mentioned) made pools, lakes and we have even one good result making the ocean (calm) large surface, much better looking than so many other ocean-specific assets as well. Appreciated & keep us all updated on the asset news :).

There is good
There is amazing
And then there is mind blowing
I have most of the assets from Nature Manufacture. And every single one has totally blown my mind away.
I cannot even imagine the level of effort that has gone into creating these assets.
Regarding River Auto Material. I have both the new 2019 version as well as this version. R.A.M. has always blown me away with how intuitive it is and how much thought has gone into pre planning how it would be used.
I could go on and on for hours.
I don't know how to say thankyou.
Do not buy this when it is on sale. Pay full price for it. Because it is worth so much more.
My only wish is that Nature Manufacture would release more assets.
Note: Added bonus. The developer is extremely friendly and helpful and supportive.

Speed up your workflow

The shaders here are excellent. The terrain deformation and River generation is a complex task so there are a few challenges along the way. However, you will get better rivers faster with this tool, so go buy it.

Does not work in 2019 :(

I think its a bit rediculus to pay full price for the upgrade. Unless you guys really did have to make the thing from scratch it seems a bit unfair to have to shell out another $50 just to be able to upgrade my project. I mean, I would pay like 20 or something becuase I know work went into upgrading it but this really seems unfair. At that rate I'll just get a different tool since I have to pay so much anyway when I would rather support your business

But what is fair? our 6 month work of 4 devs for free? We had to rebuild that pack for unity 2019 and higher. We add tons of new features, we spent huge amount of time for it. Everything must be for free? People must feed family etc... If we would give everything for free we woudn't make such big updates etc because it don't have economical reson.

Really quick to setup and amazing results right out of the box. Does take up to an hour or so to truly get familiar with, but after that it's pretty smooth sailing.
I should mention though that the shaders don't work well with underwater rendering, at least not out of the box. The problem is simple: some of the included shaders feature screen-space refraction using a GrabPass with a sample coordinate displacement as dictated by the normal map. Since volumetric absorption means that real water gradually loses opacity, it is of course necessary to blend out this refraction to a 'base color' for the water. The problem is that the shader does this without considering if we're looking from an underwater perspective, and should add this fake absorption in front of the surface rather than behind it. Consequently since the skybox is at an infinite distance, looking up from the underside of the river surface will likely result in a fully opaque surface, which of course is nonsensical, or with fog applied to objects which aren't in the water.
Of course, underwater rendering compatibility isn't a requirement for this asset, and I was able to adapt the shaders to my needs as my prototype does feature the option for (under)water exploration which may occur in the rivers generated by this asset.
And here is the reason I'm giving it 4/5 stars: the shaders are quite messy internally. Of course you buy the asset 'as is' and any further modifications are up to the user, but most parameters having generic names (like "lerpResultXX" or "appendResultXXX") makes it very hard to read for a person, which makes me suspect that the shaders were made with an external tool such as a node-based shader editor, and then compiled into a .shader file. Furthermore, this compiler seems to treat all values as immutable, and will generate a new value for any computation instead of modifying the old one if possible, resulting in a long and hard-to-read shader program with seemingly meaningless variable names.
While this of course is no problem for people whose project doesn't require features not offered by the R.A.M shaders by default, it does mean that this asset lacks a bit in adaptability, and as such I'd love to see the shaders cleaned up to be more friendly to madlads who program shaders by hand. ;)
All in all though, this is a really great asset, and I'm very happy with it.

Does what it says, but the package is immensely bloated; 1gb for basically a shader and a handfull of editor tools.
Sometimes those tools glitch out a little, but they mostly work.

Pack is big because of ground and water texture set:)
Btw try ram 2019 which is much much better and give alot of new options and shader features.
