Perpetual License means you do not pay for updates. If you want money add a pay for additional substance package. This is also a DLL which locks you to a certian version of unity. I think any provider that does ths is trash.

Every year you launch a new version and force your clients to purchase it. So YOU DO NOT SUPPORT OLD VERSIONS!!! Never ever I will purchase ANYTHING from you.

if this is the case , i would avoid this publisher for any and all assets. any publisher that puts their assets on Humble or other cheap mass buy situations and then turns around and changes the name and functionality of an asset is the type to stay far far away from..

Do not buy, You have to keep buying the newest version of this product to be able to keep using it, unless you prefer using old outdated versions of Unity. It's like buying a subscription service without knowing it. Never got a chance to use it. It didn't work on the latest version of Unity at the time when I finally went to implement it in my project.....

Verified Solutions program is a library of third-party assets and solutions that Unity curates. https://docs.unity3d.com/2023.1/Documentation/Manual/verifiedsolutions.html You can read the rules for verified solutions. This asset and other Visual Cafe products those are locked within DLLs and custom package managers don't actually meet the requirements of being a verified solution. You can read their version update history. This Nature Renderer was full of bugs but you cannot fix anything without waiting for a solution from the author because it's locked behind DLLs. This kind of packages shouldn't be marked as a verified solution. Also this asset doesn't have any effect on tree rendering. That feature was left to Nature Renderer 2021 even though they promised to add it to Nature Renderer. In the context of grass rendering it has worse performance than anything else available. I removed this from my project and used another grass rendering system and had a 50% performance increase. I'm waiting for a response from both Unity and the author about the asset.If i will not have a solution from them I'm going to file a complaint to EU consumer rights and complaints.

they put their asset on humble bundle and then essentially deprecate it, I now know that if i see a good tool on the bundle, its there to die
