Broken in recent Unity versions

Sadly, this very useful tool does not work anymore in recent versions of Unity (tested on 6000.1.14f), due to an obsolete instruction (TextureImporter spriteSheet)...
:-(
Please update if possible!

The importer works as expected and makes your life much easier! You can export spritesheets with sprites that are trimmed and stacked. Thanks to the xml file and the importer, Unity knows how to handle the sprite sheets. 5 Stars!
Is there an option to generate animations for UI (Image.Sprite) instead of SpriteRenderer? Since I can only copy and paste the keyframes from the generated Animation to the UI Animation I loose the positions of the sprites. My workaround was to export the spritesheets with sprites that are not trimmed. But that means the spritesheets can get pretty big.

The developer is very supportive and helped me with my problem. He implemented an option to use the Image Renderer for UI animations. So you can use trimmed spritesheets for UI animations as well! The updated asset is available at GitHub.
