Just like Ash's assets, this one also works great and has clean extensible code. I feel it's one of the best car controllers to pick up on the store, but the name is highly misleading. This is an excellent ARCADE controller, but certainly not a Simcade one. I understand that definition can be subjective, but for me this is far from Simcade. It leans more towards Midnight Club / GTA than Forza/Grid. Just try the demos for yourself and take a call if it fits your project, the demo is actually brilliant (you can tweak car params in runtime on the demo, how cool is that!).
I've reduced a star only because of the name. I've tried everything I can based on the docs to build different car types in this, but everything just falls well into arcade territory for me. I'll happily give 5 stars if you can easily build a simcade car in it. For now, my conclusion is that this is great for arcade, but for simcade your best bet is NWH Vehicle Physics.

Thanks for the thorough take—the controller targets arcade‑first handling. its not too arcady like mario cart, but yes it lies in between arcade and semi realistic physics.
Very simple, takes up little space, and offers great handling for all the vehicles, including a bus! The scripts are very well-structured, with all functions separated, robust tools that are easy to use, and even a free environment with loops and ramps. This author goes above and beyond for us, answering questions and resolving them immediately. It's a pleasure to buy assets under these conditions.

Very nice for arcade style racers

I am using this for a very "arcady" racing game and was struggling with Unitys own wheel colliders for quite some time now. With this asset you can set up a functioning physics system in a short amount of time and what I also like is that its not a "magic black box" that just does its thing without you knowing why but rather very clearly structured scripts you can pretty easily edit yourself to add custom features.
Code could be a little better documented though but you can figure out everything with a litte bit of work :)

Awesome asset to get you up and running (driving)

I have been playing with this asset in combination with some vehicle models from Synty Studios. I love how easy it is to build a working vehicle and test it on my maps. The ease at which Ash has made the process is super beneficial to anyone who is in the process of learning or creating their Minimal Viable Product.

I haven't tried all the car related assets to say this is the best asset in the world, but it is very good.
Easy to use and add to your game. Driving the car is very comfortable, there are many settings that will allow you to customize the vehicle the way you need.
I didn't expect it to be so good, and this asset exceeded all my expectations.

Perfect for more AAA-like arcade racers

If you're looking to have your cars feel anything like NFS, gta, forza, this asset is a great start.
It's not a "realistic" controller, definitely more suited for arcade-sim racers.
Pros:
- Responsive steering (NFS, GTA)
- Responsive acceleration/driving
- Easy drifting setup
- Responsive dev
- An active enough community in discord
- Custom wheel colliders so wheels feel like wheels
- Simple simulated gearing sound system + shift sounds
Cons:
- Does not calculate values like RPM/Gearing
- AWD only, no FWD/RWD support
(though easy to simulate as you have access to a lot of vehicle variables + shouldnt matter for arcade type racers)
I will definitely update my review if the dev can figure out RPM, which is useful for use with external assets such as Realistic Engine Sounds 2.

I own other assets from this developer and the support is awesome! He is very active in his discord and really enjoys building and perfecting his assets. This asset only took a few seconds to set up my custom car, then a few more seconds because my models origins were all messed up, that was my fault, not the assets. Once I fixed my model, it was just a few drag and drops and a 2 clicks and I was racing through the city!

Title says it. It's really good. A nice combination of simulation and arcade. Code is pretty easy to modify if you know a bit about coding. Developer is also very helpful if you run into any problems. Definitely give it a go!
