Excellent asset.

theoneZicoon version 1.16a
This is an excellent asset that blew me away with the possibilities. I'm still learning all the functionalities but they did a great job with the example scenes to help understand the different scenarios. Highly recommended.

Still accurate, performant and great with Unity 6.

BogomilPetrovon version 1.16a
This asset works just as good as always and simply fits with any editor version I throw at it.
It works for VR, MR as well and is performant enough to run on Standalone headsets such as Meta Quest. (Although it needs the newer headsets for their performance boost).
Would love to see a quality of life update with some refinements and newer textures and features from newer unity versions but hey... if something ain't broke why touch it.

I was hesitant to buy this asset when I first came across it but I'm so happy I went for it! This is the only asset I found with progressive damage shaders and texturing. The documentation is clear and the example project is incredibly robust showing many use case scenarios. I was able to get this implemented into my project shortly after playing around with the example for a bit. On top of that, the developer support made it worth every penny. When I reached out to the developer with a question, he got back to me within 24 hours. He wrote a custom script for my needs and made a video to show me how to implement the new script. Super professional. Highly recommended.

DestroyIt does something very simple. It tracks the health of an object and swaps it out for another object if it gets destroys. It has a few shaders which overlay damage textures(somewhat unconvincingly), and it can spawn particle systems. There are a few other features, but notably absent is the ability to generate a destroyed model. Yes, you read that right- an asset named "DestroyIt" doesn't actually destroy any models- you have to provide the fractured versions of them. For a destructible environment of even modest complexity, this is a time-consuming task- and doing in a different application like Blender hurts productivity and discourages iteration. For this reason, I give this asset 1 star, and encourage the author to add the ability to generate Voronoi fractured models.

When using some of the functions of this asset with FishNet. It caused some bugs made FishNet object pool pulling wrong prefabs. This was a minor issue tho, incompatible assets causing problems all the time.
So I decided to look into the code of "DestroyIt" then I realized this solution is very over engineered. It's not worth the time to try customize it. Instead I simply implement the functions I needed with much less code and no interference with other asset.
To be fair, this asset does its purpose. But not worth the price tag for what it does, and may not worth the overheads what it carries over to a game project.

I purchased this asset to use with a project in using some low poly models by Synty, but there was a problem with the progressive damage not appearing on their models, so I asked DestroyIt's developer if there was any work around for it, and he proceed to make not one, but two YouTube videos showing exactly how to address the problem I was having with the exact low poly model package I was using.
Super helpful developer. I was blown away by how much effort was put into answering my question and helping me to get it to work with my set up. The effects are amazing and impactful, and the developer well worth supporting. This asset is definitely worth the purchase!

The Asset is good, but documentation meh...

EinfachFinnon previous version 1.15
I really liked the demo and all of the possibility provided by this asset.
But its hard to implement with other assets and the documentation is really bad. I mean its easy to understand and everything which gets explained, gets explained well but the rest is just missing.
I mean its easy to understand and everything which gets explained, gets explained well but so much is just missing. How do I use my own guns? Raycast weapona? Physic Based Weapons? How can I destroy things with my melee attack? How can I make this work in VR.
This Asset could be great! I mean really really great! But a Discord Server, Tutorials and stuff like this is needed.
I understand its hard work to make tutorials but maybe you could work together with some GameDevelopers on Youtube (CodeMonkey for example)?

Asset really good but more tutorial and documentation needed

I love the asset it works perfectly with demo but it would be really great if there are some more tutorial videos and documentation. It gets a while to figure it out how to make it work with other assets.
Also it would be good to put some some new graphics as per 2022 and some new effects its still old school.
This will be awesome asset.
Awaiting new updates
Thanks
