Just not work.
modernator24on previous version 1.5.2
The document lacks explanation, the preparation requires full of unnecessary stuff, and it's not even working. All I get is my stupid car rotating to the front a little and not moving. The automatically added collider is just floating in the air. I thought I had done something wrong, so I retried everything from the beginning several times, but the result was always the same. The video tutorial is old and doesn't explain what I need to know properly. Overall, this tool needs a lot of fixing and needs better documentation. People buy this kind of tool to reduce their time building everything from scratch, but this tool keeps wasting precious time. And I thought something was wrong when I imported it and tried to reimport the whole assets, but nothing changed.

Uses sphere colliders for the vehicles, which have a lot of known issues. Worst solution possible

I respectfully disagree regarding the use of sphere colliders, they work very well for the type of movement and "feel" AVC is aiming for. There are two known issues with using a sphere collider, both of which have been solved. 1- Collisions aren't accurate with a sphere. AVC uses a box collider for collisions (though you can change this to a mesh collider if you need), and the sphere collider is for movement - so great collisions all round! 2- Some times jumping over the joint between two colliders. This is a Unity issue and won't get fixed (https://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/collision-bumps-when-crossing-from-one-collider-to-another). HOWEVER! There is a fix/ work around, as stated in the AVC docs (https://avcdocs.enigma23.co.uk/help/troubleshooting). Change the value of 'Default Contact Offset' in the physics settings, and you can remove this issue.

Simple, easy and great for arcade style

Megaskotton previous version 1.19
I like this asset. Very easy to get into. Such a simple idea for an arcade controller. No difficult physics to mess around with. Easy to setup new vehicles with the inbuild vehicles builder. I do think there is missing some stuff to get a full 5 star review. Suggestions for a future update: Joypad controller, currently it is only keyboard, I think that's a shame. And missing sound for the vehicles. Could be a simple setup with engine sounds, skid sound etc.

some annoying issues
creat327on previous version 1.16
Well, in general is very arcade mode. That was expected. But I did not expect the vehicles to slide on hills when parked. Just get the car or any other vehicle, go up to any hill, turn around so that it's horizontal and it shouldn't slice... watch it move downhill slowly but surely as if the road was made of honey. This needs to be fixed before you can release any car or bike or whatever you want to do with it into the real world. You can't have things that should be static, sliding downhill. EDIT: Replying to the author's reply. I used the "stop slope slide" before writing my review. It doesn't work. It still slides and also you can't expect the player to be exactly 90 degrees for it to work.

Hi, Thanks for buying AVC! The issue with vehicles sliding on slopes is already dealt with, on the vehicle settings there's a toggle "Stop Slope Slide". This works so that if your car is perpendicular (90 degrees) to the slope, it will not move at all, as the car is rotated to follow the slope it will slowly start to roll forward. So if the car is at 45 degrees of the slope, it will role. EDIT: This is now configurable and will be available in v1.18.

Simple solution with great results

An easy to use approximation of car physics. Not a real-life simulation of actual vehicle physics, but a much simpler way to get almost the same result.

Very responsive controller

LooneyJetmanon previous version 1.15
I bought this for a project idea that I had after checking out quite a few vehicle controllers. Of the ones I looked at, this had the most arcade-like controls and the web demo really helped me as it felt like old-school Micro Machines style controls. I had a query not long after purchasing and the developer was extremely helpful and responded quickly, not only with a solution but also with an update to the asset. Great support!

Good physics, but the setting is a bit too complicated
5 years ago
bbs950064on previous version 1.13
The physical control of AVC is very easy, and there is a complete and clear website for users to set the vehicle and incurable diseases. The performance setting of the vehicle is also very simple and clear, and this asset contains a simple Ai script. But the overly complicated vehicle settings make the overall feeling a bit bad. Before using this tool, you need to spend some time changing your model to meet the tool requirements. After completion, you also need to manually adjust many objects to make the vehicle run normally. It’s weird. The hierarchy sequence does not make the vehicle very intuitive. I hope that future updates will have better results. I still have confidence in this asset, he still has great potential, and the author is very diligent in communicating and teaching with users.

Hi, Would you mind emailing me what you find confusing about the settings? I've tried to make everything as simple and as easy as I can, I thought the settings had achieved this - hopefully I can improve the settings simplicity from your feedback. Email support [at] enigma23.co.uk

Now my go-to car controller asset!

BennyKokMusicon previous version 1.13
Able to get everything up and running quickly! Due to our specific car model, we had to do some manual tweakings with the car prefab structure, but the structure and code are clean and easy to understand in a short period of time! The result is very promising! Plus you got some built-in effects (trail & thrust) working out of the box!
