@edit: I understand the developers argumentation. By that, I changed the rating to 4 stars. Also purchased another asset from him - although, yes, this purchase was very expensive for me, too expensive in my case.
In general, you want to add specific nodes of this package to your project. We only use one node of this package for an explosion effect. The noises are nice to have, and can help, yes.
So, if you just need one or two specific nodes, this shader pack is way too big and too expensive in that case. I of course appreciate that it is compatible with lots of Unity versions and most times up to date, and I do not say that the stuff you get would be of bad quality. But it is just the price as mentioned for - I believe - most users.
For example, there are for sure good water and especially toon shader assets already out there which aren't that expensive and very fleible, and of course you can use your own noise pattern images from other sources.
I would understand the price if there would be value previews added to nodes (there is one asset in the Unity Store which does that), which most users would need for sure. Then I would understand the price and would be ok with it, when it is on sale.
Short conclusion: Because of these fatcs I am rating it with 3 stars, although the quality is fine. Hope you understand that I personally can not accept the high price in that case.

If your interest was in the noise nodes, you might wanna check the Bake Texture node also included in the package. Sometimes (not always, it depends on your use case) it can help with optimizing shader graphs, while keeping the flexibility of said shader graph.
About the price, I definitely understand this is not for everyone; but I find the 2-stars rating a bit harsh. It means that you really want to discourage anyone from finding out about this asset.
A lot of care went (and is still going) into this asset and the support I provide. As you said yourself, it supports a ton of Unity version; because I care and I am a gamedev too. I know how much support is important, and being able to trust that an asset is going to be supported 3 years from now.
Based on what you said, this asset does everything as advertised and works as expected; which is why I find the 2-star rating strange.
I understand the price might be high for some devs; especially compared to what's out there. However, I think a price race to the bottom is not going to benefit asset store creators nor game devs.

Adds a lot of functionalities and flexibility to Shader Graph. I love it. My favorite one is the "Bake Texture" Node, because I can use Shader Graph to generate custom textures.

I bought this asset because I needed to be able to access Shadergraph when using Simple Lit. Mystery to me why Unity thinks this is not a thing. Anyhow, after hesitating to throw more money at Unity to fill the gaps of their half baked and incomplete tools, I decided to get it anyways, because my game can not afford to use any Lit shaders. I don't regret it. It works out of the box and does what it says. Plus the author is super friendly and responsive on Discord and helped me out right away with how the asset works and also as I encountered a minor problem, which he fixed very quickly. If you are using Unity for lower end platforms and need to use Simple Lit graphs, this is the Asset for you. Pretty thankful for the people that fill the gaps in Unity. Happy with vanilla Unity, esp. since splitting renderpipelines? Clearly not. You must rely on external devs like this one to help you or your lost. And I can gladly say I got helped.

Shader graph Essentials has a lot of great tools that make this a worth while investment. Being able to bake textures from the shader graph is an amazing tool to have for optimizations. You can literally pack your textures with this tool! I love the 3D noises! I wish unity would adopt that feature into it's default shader graph! All in all, great tool!

I bought this asset specifically to fix seams in my shaders using Unity's noise node. After installing the package I was able to replace the noise nodes in seconds using the SGE noise node.
I ran into a problem! I STILL had seams!
I headed over to the SGE discord where the developer spent his Saturday afternoon walking me through fixing my own dumb mistake in the shader transparency settings.
I'm very happy with the result and would totally recommend this asset to anyone making procedural shaders.

Unity 2020.2 was released only 2 days before you posted your comment.
At this time, I was already advertising (both in the asset description and on the plugin's discord channel) that the plugin wasn't working in 2020.2 yet because of massive changes on Unity's side, and that I was working on it.
4 days later I submitted the update to Unity and posted about it on Discord.
The update is taking a while to be processed on Unity's side, because of Christmas. Feel free to ping me on Discord or by email and provide your invoice number and I will send you the updated package :)

Very functional, an asset with a lot of potential. The custom shader masters are very versatile and the other effects on offer are modifiable as well. The whole package is quick to set up and I was up and running in a minute. When I had questions, the developer was there to troubleshoot and assess the issue with me.
Would definitely recommend for all experience levels due to ease of use and clean documented code behind the scenes is a great way to learn to use the new render pipelines!
