Seamless is a powerful procedural textures baker. It provides top notch image processing algorithms giving endless possibilities. This extension brings some of the classic Seamless primitives to turn Shader Graph into a real procedural texture designer.


This package contains some of Seamless' specific nodes, like the mind-blowing Fractal Noise, the Squircle, Caustics Noise and even an exclusive Export node to bake static PNG textures directly in your assets.

Technical details

- Tested on Shader Graph v12.1 and above

- Tested on unity 2021.3 and above

- Most nodes are provided under the form of a subgraph containing provided HLSL code, the export code is provided with C# code.


Notes:

  • You can use this extension to get profit of 9 Seamless nodes for your runtime shaders AND to bake the shader output at any stage.
  • The original seamless asset does not support runtime texture modification but is still relevant as it provides a node-based texture editor, different from shader graph which is a shader editor. Every connected node provides a full texture, not generated shader code. A direct consequence is that the convolution-based filters such as the (Gaussian blur) are possible, but aren't in shader graph.
  • Fractal Noises nodes can be really resource consuming due to their recursive nature. It is advised to use them with a low octaves number, or for baking only.
