Dear Nvidia Team, we really would like to use VRWorks for all of our VR Project from Daimler to Vodafone and other but the version lacks all new features you developed in the last 2 years. Should include demo scenes or camera prefab examples

I think examples should be prepared to avoid any misunderstanding and demonstrate this works out of the box! - shouldn't have to download a big asset ie; the Viking Village demo to show it works. Limitation - this only works with Forward rendering. I hope NVIDIA can add deffered rendering along with examples.

Still not working after over a year of request

I can't believe NVidia keeps ignoring all the requests and hasn't fixed this yet. This package is useless despite its potential. Don't use it unless you want to waste your time and have Unity crashing several times a day

...in the store when I calculate the time I spent with trying to get it run. There is so much potential. You could expect a 5 star asset from the market leader. You should take it off the store.

This asset doesn't work with almost any Unity version (very broken and super fragile). Currently using 2018.1.6.

Broken asset with no support

If you're trying to use this with dual graphics cards, get ready to be disappointed. I tried it on multiple machines, using the specific program versions listed, with 1080TIs and got nowhere -- the console claims that its working, but only renders black. I submitted a bug report to Unity; they were unhelpful because they were unable to test with two SLIed graphics cards. NVIDIA's support email for VRWorks appears dead -- I emailed them a couple of months ago and they never responded. I tried by updating the demo project demonstrating VRWorks to use this version of the asset (and its default version as well), and created a bug reproduction project for Unity which literally just had the project settings set correctly for VR and VRWorks, and a camera rendering. Problem is easily reproducible.

Won't work for Third Party HMD SDK And Build BUG

1.SPS,LMS can only be used for Oculus, OpenVR, PlayStation VR, and Gear VR.Won't work for Third Party HMD SDK.I am HMD SDK developer.Hoping can open texture interfaces for Third Party HMD SDK. MRS SPS LMS detected but can not SetActiveFeature except MRSFeature when PlayerSetting->XRSetting->Virtual Reality SDKs set to none.In this case SetActiveFeature to LMS,GameView is separated half .The left half view is filp.The right half view is a black screen.Vertical Flip toggle in VR Work Present component is useless. 2.Build bug In unity2017.2.0f3 and unity2017.3.1f1,there will be an error when using File->Biuld&Run to build the project .MRS SPS LMS detected in building scenes. Error messages on Messagebox XXXProject has encountered an error and must close. debug.log in project crashed folder GfxPluginVRWorks64.dll caused a Breakpoint (0x80000003) in module GfxPluginVRWorks64.dll at 0033:82c5d9b6. File->Build and run application manually is allright. PS.Seems that application with VRWorks plugins needed to be singleton.Otherwise application will crashed with this error. Thanks!

Built games won't start

Don't download this asset until Nvidia fixes it. You'll know it's fixed when you see a reply from them to this message. In Until 2017.1, any built games will not run. The executable appears in the Task Manager, but the game window never appears.

Be prepared for a bumpy ride, but then huge gains

There's a 90% chance you'll have to spend a few hours troubleshooting this package, and integrating it is not for the faint of heart. However, it has the potential to drastically improve performance once it's up and running. It does come with trade-offs though. You'll have to modify any tricky shaders you're using to be compatible, and it takes some post effects off the table completely. If you NEED a performance boost on high-end machines for VR, this can save the day. On my end I saw a 30-60% boost in performance (varying by scene) resulting in a comfy 90fps on some gigantic models. For that it gets 5 stars from me, but some of the negative comments here are justified. It's hard to install, breaks some other assets, and documentation is spotty. Depending on how much you need some Nvidia magic it can be totally worth it though. Looking forward to seeing how the tech develops from here.
