I have now also updated the systems for the latest Unity 6.3 and also added support in all for DX12 and the new Unity Input system that come as standard in Unity 6.3 and beyond.

As you can see nearly every review mentions how support was required, how helpful the support was.
So be prepared to ask for help and do NOT expect this asset to perform as per the demo or to be intuitive to use. This I believe is quite normal for ArtnGame assets..
Apart from that..if you are very patient and are not worried about having a constant link to the developer/s ...and have the time to experiment and have enough hair to rip out...then go for it.

Hi,
thank you for the review and feedback.
All the core functionality is fully covered in the manual and tutorial videos, so can consult them before using the system or contact for support. Note that the support requests and reviews are a tiny fraction of the ten of thousand users of the system.
About the performance, the asset should perform much better than the demo, in the demo i have not implemented LODs and my demos are always a stress test, with full shadows even at extreme far regions.
I am always trying to make the assets easier to use without always sacrifice the many options, this is an ongoing work, e.g. in latest version have added easy to drop to scene prefabs.
Note that none of the users had an open line for support, most are using the tutorials and definatly the support is a few minutes per user in general to cover some base or maybe more advanced questions usually in a single chat. Last support request in Discord for example was two months ago.
Let me know also for any issue and what extra functionality would like to see to make the system even easier to use for a particular use case and will also see to that asap, always improve the system based on the feedback as well and any suggestions are very appreciated.

A very good asset. Ideal if you want to create vegetation on custom meshes, for example on a planet. A good replacement for unity terrain

I am now preparing a massive upgrade to arrive soon, with a new mesh and spline planter, for both editor and run time, new URP and HDRP support and many more ways to plant vegetation and use the system.

I rarely feel like I should write a review, but I'm doing it now because of the fact that the dev was so helpful when I had any questions and the grass system was pretty impressive!
There are many options to optimize the performance, according to your needs. Also a lot of visual customization. If you take some time to learn this system, you can really see its potential. But if you need a quick way to create performant grass for your game, this tool has you covered as well!
Great Asset.

I will do some tests locally with WebGL and comment further on the issue and performance.
From a first attempt seems to work very fast in general. One thing that can cause a slow down
is if you use the Multithreading module in WebGL, as is not compatible and can cause a massive slow down.
Please refer to the below images for the performance on my end and where to find the setting to disable the Multithreading when building for WebGL.

Note that InfiniGRASS will vastly optimize the grass and foliage, but in all cases need to also take care of the density and models etc of grass used, regulate the grass batching (e.g use many strokes per batched model in static group member count) and regulate the LOD - cutoff distances to get the best result.
