Really good blood overlay for BIRP

Using for a BIRP project and grabbed this thinking: "Why not. It's cheap, so worst case scenario, if it doens't work well, no biggie".
And I'm happy to say this is one of those assets that exceeds expectations. Worth noting, it doesn't run out of the box with your player controller/damage system, so you will need to set that up (code is well commented so shouldn't be an issue). You will need to call the update or increment bloodamount on your player taking damage. Once that is done, it looks really good. And the fade refract effect is sweet. You can also modify the textures to your own ones and use it for varying effects.

Hi, rest assured that it should still work in all Unity versions, as long as you are using the standard render pipeline. Could you tell me more about the problem? What version of Unity are you using, what is the build target, etc.

A really good asset

I use this all the time especially with Opsive controller. It is so easy to set up even if you don't code that much at all. I'm a non coder but yet I have worked it out. I have used Bolt as well as Unode which are great programs and the Blood-Damage Effect both work really good with these visual scripting solutions. But was just wondering is this the original owner because I have noticed a Udemy tutorial that shows you step by step in a first person survival game on how to code this. Although this 1 is actually much better than that one.
Overall a great asset and a bargain price.

Hey, thanks for the praise! I can assure you I'm the owner, creator and inventor of this effect, I created the first version in 2013 (if I remember correctly) entirely from scratch.

Any first person game that has player damage and blood should pick this up.
It's $5 and is one script you attach to the camera. You change one float and it bloodies the screen and auto fades over time (option for this).
I had one small issue with the preview mode for viewing in editor, so I ripped that bit out of the script and it works perfectly.

I tried to make it work on my Oculus Quest project, but it doesn't work even when trying first in desktop mode. Maybe the project settings doesn't suit to use this package...
Finally, I found a good solution...use the blood image and fade it out when needed.
