AQUAS looks great on desktop but I needed a water solution for a mobile VR app. Although not directly supported for VR, this water looks amazing running on an Android S8 mobile device and google cardboard VR!

Useful, but...
Daniel-Talison version 1.1.1
I run Linux Mint and Aquas 2020 works alright but not in recent versions of Unity. Version 2020.3.36f1 works Ok but nothing newer that I have found. There is a compiler bug in Unity apparently that effects shaders/textures in other applications as well.
So I give it 4 stars because the problem doesn't lie with Aquas. I have noticed tiling across the water though which prevents me from giving 5 stars.

Had awesome water setup in less than 30mins!
JWLewis777on version 1.1.1
Not only were the water effects outstanding, it took less than 30 minutes to get it setup and working! The tutorials are a great and are what really allowed this to happen.
I purchased other water assets with no idea how to use it, which seems to be the norm for a lot of assets.
I really appreciate the hand holding guide on how to use it and I am very happy with the results!
Awesome!

Despite the awesome looks of Aquas, it is really easy to setup and use as well!
The features included everything I needed (some I discovered later, when I thought, "this would be great...").
I had some difficulties with my shader settings on mobile and got personal support to fix the issue - very much appreciated!
In case you want to see Aquas 2020 in action in a mobile game, take a look at

I really want this to work, but it doesn't
5 years ago
LordTommy33on version 1.1.1
Edit after developer response:
The developer responded extremely quickly and was very helpful. So the asset works perfectly on the standard render pipeline, or just creating a regular 3d project without having a scriptable render pipeline setup.
The water looks beautiful, the tools are fast and easy to use, and the profiler shows easily 120-200 fps on a huge ocean in my scene. My initial review was based on the assumption that the URP and HDRP should work the same as the SRP. Of course they do not, and that is Unity's fault, not this asset. In fact I did miss the big bold print that said this is not yet compatible with URP or HDRP. However now that it is working I can fully recommend it if you need an easy to use and effective water body in your project. I'm really looking forward to support for the URP and HDRP as well.
Old review for record:
It looks fantastic in the videos, and I fully believe it would look great if it worked. However none of the shaders work with the new unity URP, HDRP or any of the render pipelines that I tested. I tried 2019.3 and 2019.4 which is the latest LTS version. After multiple hours of fooling around, tweeking settings and even trying to learn enough HLSL to rewrite the shaders myself I'm stumped... and the asset isn't working. Well, at least the visual part, the tools all work great, adding a water object is easy, but it just ends up being a big pink blob. I owned the previous version of this, so I when that stopped working I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt for the developer. It seems Unity made some major changes to how shaders work which caused a lot of custom shaders in assets to break. However, the fact that this is listed as AQUAS 2020, the shaders should be compatible with that change by now. The fact that they are not is frustrating. I'm hoping it changes and gets fixed. I really tried and worked for many many hours to get this to work, but I just couldn't. I feel like if the asset is listed on the store it really should work with minimal extra work from the user.

Hi there and thank you for the review.
I'm sorry to read you're having trouble with the asset, however almost at the very top the description states in bold italic that URP and HDRP are not supported at this point.
If you can't use the asset this way, please send me an e-mail, I'm sure we can sort this one out.
Kind Regards
Chris
