What Mr West is doing here is really important. As a Blender user I highly prefer being able to import my fx into Unity if at all possible. Honestly. This is really helpful stuff. Unitys particle system is very, very weak in comparison to any real 3d software. And even though this is still a beta functionality, on the Blender end, I think this is important. There is guy who did a particle bake system for Blender but he has been of the grid for a few years now. Nothing since. So I highly support the existance and further development of this app.

Add texture pre model options.
benengel94_unityon previous version 1.41
This works great for going between models but none of my models use the same texture. When model changes the mtl and png should change also. Looking in the code it looks like a half baked implementation of this is in there. It just doesn't work at all. I'll probably spend the time to update it my self but it'd be super nice to have official support for everyone else.

No OBJ exporter for Maya
cineconcertson previous version 1.38
There doesn't seem to be any working OBJ exporter for Maya right now. Creative Crash is down, so I can't get the script that everyone seems to be referencing from there, and every other script I've found doesn't seem to work in Maya 2018. So it's not functional for me to export from Maya into Unity until I find an OBJ exporter that works. Thank you.

Works well but only imports one texture

aialexander3don previous version 1.38
Plays obj sequences nicely, but only imports one texture and material for the entire sequence, so if your sequence needs to change materials each frame, you're going to see some strange results.

It is very simple to use. I used it in an AR project and it works fine. You can import PLA animations very easily and quickly. It worths!

Asset kind of works, but you are on your own.

I attempted to contact the developer twice already. Not a single answer was given. If you encounter any problems (and you will encounter them, because of bad documentation), you are on your own. In my particular case, the "file" property of the asset isn't working as expected.

Not working / Unity 2017.3.1f1 (64-bit)
micsanbron previous version 1.34
The latest version seems broken in Unity 2017.3.1f1 (64-bit). The particle cache loader seems totally broken, even in the demo which does not match the youtube video (no fire can be seen and the smoke looks off as well). The OBJ cache loader works, at least in the demo (but I purchased this asset for the particle cache loader). I tried unsuccessfully multiple times to load some (extremely simple) PDA sequences exported from Maya (a simple sphere emitting particles with age-based colors and 2 seconds lifespan). I got fairly quick email replies before buying the tool but not a single email reply after the purchase. In the end I had to write my own particle cache exporter (Softimage) and importer (Unity) which was surprisingly easy using the C# API (via Textassets). AFTER THE REPLY: now I really wish I could give you 0 or -1 stars. You replied via email that you have a bad internet connection and you are filtering out not just attachments but also the emails who contain these, without warning the sender. Same with the ticket which, by the way, offers attachment functionality. My many / huge attachments were a total of 5 files under 512 KB (including the PDF invoice).

Hi There As discussed in my emails to you we provide support through the ticket system on our website which you didn't use to start with, you also sent emails with numerous file attachments which it clearly states on our website will not get to us as we have a very very slow internet connection and can not get emails with attachments, it does state this on the support page and requests any files be uploaded and download links be sent. I have tested the particle export and import on all versions of Unity and it works just fine, if you could send links to your examples and submit a support ticket we can help find out where it is going wrong for you. As for the video guide being different from the included demo scene that is not unusual since we are not allowed to include assets we did not create in submissions to the Asset Store and as the fire in the youtube video uses a Unity paid for asset that could not be included and as I am not an artist just a coder I just made the smoke using Unity standard assets, I don't really see that as a reason to mark down an asset. We do provide refunds if an Asset does not work and can not be fixed but from all my tests the Particle import and playback work perfectly and we have had no other reports of any issues,so once again I ask that you maybe submit a support tiket with links to your examples so I can test them. Hi, I try to create a prefab with OBJ sequence and it's not take it. Does Mega Cache work with the creation of prefab? Any solution, Thanks!
