FOR URP & HDRP: Fix Pink Material Issue

From the Unity toolbar, go to Window->Rendering->Render Pipeline Converter. Select Built-in to URP/HDRP in the dropdown menu. Tick the Material Upgrade Option, and at the bottom right corner, click the "Initialize and Convert" button. This will fix the pink material issue.

Technical details

The asset contains two main scripts: S3DPolygon for creating polygons, and S3DSphere for spheres.


S3DPolygon Features:

  • Create any non-spherical shapes you want
  • Control the number of vertices of the shape
  • Change the scale of the shape
  • Modify the shape's pivot point (rotation and scale will be respective of this point)
  • Taper the shape. You can taper the bottom and top ends of the shape separately.
  • Rotate the shape
  • Make the shape hollow!
  • Additional settings if shape is hollow:
    • Control the thickness of the walls
    • Open the sides of the shape
    • Create an end cap for the bottom, or top, or for both

S3DSphere Features:

  • Control the resolution of the sphere
  • Control the scale of the sphere
  • Modify the sphere's pivot point (rotation and scale will be respective of this point)
  • Adjust the radius of the sphere
  • Cut the sphere according to the specified height
  • Make the sphere hollow!
  • Additional setting if sphere is hollow:
    • Control the thickness of the walls

General Features:

  • All shapes come with working interior and exterior mesh colliders
  • Generated meshes are saved in the GeneratedMeshes folder (handy if you want to export it to fbx or obj)
