I have made Haircards before with Blender, Zbrush, 3D coat, you name it. The disadvantage was always that the hair looked good in the other programms with their respected shaders but in unity everything looked different. If your end goal is to make game ready hair then i strongly recommend this product. If you want the best looking hair for showcase/close up etc. only, maybe try other 3d application outside unity and use marmorset toolbag for that.

The fur and hair look amazing! And the developer is very responsive, I asked for help and he replied back with a custom scripts to do exactly what I needed! The designer tool is extremely easy to use. And the code is well written and easy to customize! Deserves more than 5 stars!

i got it working on 2020.1.16f1, but with some console errors, on 2020.2 is unusable, and i only use it for create hair ( the best asset for that ) i even try use with new HDRP versions cause i know will not work if i got errors with built in pipeline 5 star cause is the best asset for hair and my weapon of choice to create hairs and furs

Using this for a furry non human character. The layer system is great. The motion system can make the hair move when the character animates. So far it's great, I just hope they keep updating it.

Needs definitely some invest in time, but after a while I was able to figure it out and get very good results.

Been a real big boon for our project. The Hair Designer can handle all sorts of different applications for Hair and Fur on characters. I highly recommend it! The newest update brings a new DX11 fur system which blows classic fur shell systems to high he-...avens.
