Using this with Unity 2022.3.62 and it doesn't work out of the box. Pressing the Translate button does nothing other than produce an error in the console reading "WebService is not set correctly or needs to be reinstalled". The docs don't mention this and I had to go forum digging. The forum post I found didn't link to the solution, either, so that was annoying. It really needs some better 'getting started' and maybe a 'troubleshooting' section in the docs. The solution was to follow the instructions to set up the Google webservice found here https://www.inter-illusion.com/assets/I2LocalizationManual/HowtolinkwithGoogleSpreadsheet.html Hopefully that'll help other people who are bound to run into this problem at some point. Despite the bad instructions, once it's up and running it's good. Although giving this random webservice full permission to all your google drive may be an issue.. it's not the safest solution IMO. I intend to use it to get set up and then delete the webservice afterward, just to be safe.

I am frustrated that I spent money for this. I will migrate to Unity Localization, but I need a workarond to continue development until I have time to migrate. I noticed that requests which plugin sends work fine in browser or postman, but hangs in Unity. So I asked AI to write a simple proxy server which proxy requests from Unity to Google and it works. Developers have abandoned this and no way for user to fix as it relies on google scripts that are no longer there.

Asset is not maintained anymore by its dev. Many issues from years and the dev ignored all our messages on Unity forum and emails. Last issue is Google Sheets stop working and the devs has no intention to fix it despite the facts many buyers are complaining about it from months now everywhere. What a shame!

I can't sync, verify or initialize the google script. v 2.8.22 f5 Initialize: Open google page with error "Sorry, unable to open the file at this time." Verify: "Unable to access the WebService" v 2.8.22 f6 Execute google script: The script tries to access account data and google throws an exception where that is not allowed. How this can be fixed?

It wasn't working after I updated to Unity 6, but once I deleted the i2 folder and reinstalled it, it started working again. So, if you're having trouble getting it to run, you might want to try reinstalling it.

I was about to integrate I2 Localization into my project, but before moving forward, I wanted to check if it's still the best option. I was surprised by the number of recent negative reviews, which seemed to indicate the asset may have been abandoned. I tried to reach out to the developer via their forums. But this is broken and the last post was 3 years ago. I have to conclude that this asset has been abandoned. Unity have their own localisation package now. I am going to use this.
