it works I guess?

The naming and code quality are awful, with singletons everywhere and multiple prefabs needed to do what other plugins do with one script, but the final gif is of a good quality and generated at a comparable speed to other plugins.
Resetting to take a fresh gif didn't work for me, because it tries to flush gameobjects from a thread. I didn't run this through support because I had decided not to use the plugin at that point.

When you record gif, the memory is increased by about 40 mb.
The memory is not released.
When it is cumulative, the application eventually stops with a memory crash.
show me how to fix it.
(My English was poor and I used a google translator.)

Hi,
Just take 3 minutes and think : just call GC.Collect when needed
I didn''t do it in my code. Why? Because it cause fps drop. You have to do it at the right moment yourself.

I can see from the most recent comments, which Unity Asset store should show at the top of the list. As when i purchased this it seemed like it was going to be awesome.
Unfortunatley it is not awesome
* the assets package naming etc is terrible
* there is commented out code all over the place
* Sharing does not work on Android (I havent tried IOS but by the looks of things it wont work either)
* For the cost it, it is not worth buying. Before i purchased it i had hand rolled my own gif encoder and really wanted the sharing capabilities...or should i say non existent sharing capabilities.
Seems like your zendesk support is useless too.

Doesn't work anymore

The giphy api that the plugin depends on doens't work anymore. So sharing options for Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp DO NOT WORK.
Also, there is an option to share via native dialogue without direct Facebook, Twitter and Whatsapp shares. Even that isn't working.
The code is old and uses deplicated #directives. I had to debug the code on iOS and have reported a bug to the developer as well.
I would have loved some help using the zendesk support platform that they have, but I guess the support guys are in a hurry to just close the ticket WITHOUT responding.
DON'T waste your time and money on this package.

Also:
- Constant, annoying popups everytime your project recompiles
- Hidden Ad plugins that break your app on build
- Useless in editor, doesn't simulate on-device behavior

- Prefabs don't have meaningful names.
- Can't delete example project since required scripts are stored in it.
- 1 - highest quality, 100 - lowest. Which is not immediately apparent or intuitive.
- Package settings won't work if the package is in not in the root of the project.
- A lot of commented out code is included. Some code is camel case, some pascal case.
-- Recording a cropped region requires a second camera, which shot the performance. Implementing single camera cropping took a couple of hours of experimentation and five lines of code. I imagine it would take the original developer 10 minutes to do this, but the support staff informed me that there is no simple solution.
-- GIF colors flicker if not on maximum quality.
--- Native Facebook sharing on iOS doesn't include the GIF.
--- Encoding takes a very long time, even on desktop. On an iPhone 6s encoding a 24 frame GIF on lowest quality took over 10 seconds.
( - minor, -- problem, --- critical)
TLDR: It had a few problems I could fix, like cropping and Facebook sharing, but when I realized how long it took for the GIF to encode, I gave up on using this asset.
If you have a simple use case which is covered by the tutorial this asset might be worth your time. Otherwise be prepared to sink some time to make it work.

This asset worked just as described. Got it to work with just few lines of codes and great support from App Advisory!

This plugin slow down your application on IOS if you have more than one camera. It's working only if you camera setup as "solid color", in other cases this plugin show bad perfomance

Initially, I couldn't get it to work, but the publisher was very quick with the help and got me running.
the asset itself is top notch, also has adjustable settings to optimize the performance.
Integration is not more than 2 mins of work ...
