Function as expected but need some setup
beLIEveon version 1.7
This review is for asset NOT working right out of the box. Download the latest Logitech SDK zip from their website, Download the G Hub from Logitech website( for device recognization, driver). Optional: Under the lateset SDK folder, there are some demo visual studio project, you can rebuild the demo and check if there are any issue using the SDK. Replace the dll you will use under the Assets/Logitech SDK, then start G Hub, make sure your PC can recognize your Logitech device. THEN CLOSE AND EXIT G HUB, or when you call the shutdown function from the SDK, your unity might crash. After all above setup, at least I can continue development without any issue. Hopefully these info may help you.

Crash Error occurs when adding LogitechSteeringWheel
5 years ago
hamgist20on version 1.7
I'm using version Unity 2020.1.4f1 . I want to make driving simulator. For that I'm using Thrustmaster TMX Racing Wheel , NWH Vehicle Physics 2, Logitech SDK assests and etc.. I downloaded Logitech SDK asset from Unity Asset Store, and I corrected LogitechSteeringWheelEnginesWrapper.dll inside the downloaded SDK and replace the one in the Unity project with it. When I attach LogitechSteeringWheel.cs from Logitech SDK and script Sample to any object in the scene, it works fine when I run play. But when I stop play, crash error occurs and I don't know why. How can I solve this crash error?

For me, worked right out-of-box. (G29 SteeringWheel)
sglee367on version 1.7
For me, the sample script (LogitechSteeringWheel.cs) worked with G29 right after installation. Worked okay both in the Editor and StandaloneBuild (x64). Tested with, - SteeringWheel: G29 - Unity: 2019.2.12f1 - Driver: LGS_9.02.65_x64_Logitech I don't know why, but there was no need to replace 'LogitechSteeringWheelEnginesWrapper.dll' which every review suggests to do. However, I've just prepared one to replace exisiting one by the way. Maybe I need to do so in the future?

Bad documentation

IgnacioSpinMotionon version 1.7
I tried it out to make my game compatible with Logitech G-series steering wheels, and it's really hard to set it up, also the documentation is hard to understand.

Indeed a repair is needed (but it works :)

vsprimeon version 1.7
As everyone said, the steering wheel library is built in DEBUG mode (you can find a signature of MSVCR120D.dll in the DLL and the corresponding PDB files are also there), please fix this up with the release version. The proposed fix worked for me: Simply grab the latest Logitech SDK from https://www.logitechg.com/en-gb/innovation/developer-lab.htm.html Replace the broken DLL. Now it works really nice in Unity! Just grab a copy of the "LogitechSteeringWheel.cs" script on a game object.

Despite all the advice, I can't make it work. Could someone upload a version of the project with Steering Wheel working? Thank you very much.

Its good , does a great job

INGTONYon version 1.7
works fine, does a good job, make sure windows recognizes the g29 as device number "0" or change the code in the script to match the id that windows recognizes (I recommend disabling other controls while doing the development using this peripheral g29, simply because if not, you must change several parts of the code that by default has already been assigned the control id to 0) without opening unity, test your wheel in the native control options of windows that are in the control panel, open unity with administrative permissions import the package, change the .dll as indicated in all the post that you have searched to solve this situation, even in these reviews, assign the steereing wheel.cs script to any object and follow the instructions on the screen, it works without any problem tested in unity 2017.3 and 2018.3.8

How to get past the DLL error
jeromeWorkon version 1.7
Initially got a LogitechSteeringWheelEnginesWrapper.dll not found error, like everyone else, well that was a pain... went round the houses following all sorts of crazy workarounds from the web. Here's what worked for me in 2018.3.8 Download the STEERING WHEEL SDK from here: https://www.logitechg.com/en-gb/innovation/developer-lab.html Unzip then navigate to: LogitechSteeringWheelSDK_8.75.30\Lib\GameEnginesWrapper\x64 copy LogitechSteeringWheelEnginesWrapper.dll and overwrite the same file in your asset folder: \Assets\Logitech SDK
