Update: I brought this to the attention of the Google team and they marked it "Unsupported: Intended Behavior" without pulling down the plugin.
I've spent weeks on this garbage plugin. Does not compile in the newest Unity. It was possible to finally get it to compile with a ton of work, and it works for a few seconds, but now it just randomly crashes. Seems to be using Metal incorrectly.
Is there anyone out there that has figured out how to implement Google Cast with Unity? How is it that every video app in the world has a Google Cast function but there is no way to do it via Unity?

Okay i saw this plugin and downloaded it, because it would be excalctly what i need. Then i registered on the google cast console to realize, that the function is removed. Why is this plugin still available? And why there is no information about that it isnt supported anymore? I payed the fees for the console for nothing..
A huge company like google should remove those assets and videos to prevent their users from this terrible experience / waste of time.

I got this to work and connect to a chromecast but it just won't send any video. Used all the samples that came with it. Would love if this was updated.

I followed the video tutorial. I successfully built the APK and installed on my Galaxy S7 but it cannot find my android TV. I used the DEFAULT_MEDIA_RECEIVER_APPLICATION_ID receiver application ID and I also tried registering my android TV and a receiver application but still no device showed up. Not sure what to do now.

I integrated everything in my project after days of struggle and at the end - is not working. Even their sample is not working.
It does not find my chrome cast device.
It shows this error "Second CastRemoteDisplayManager detected - destroying"
I even debugged the code and made my own very basic test to just try to get the list of devices - it did not work. extensionManager.GetCastDevices().AsReadOnly() returns empty list.
Also in CastListDialog.cs this line throws error because gameObject is not active:
StartCoroutine(ShowNotFoundCoroutine())
Just don't waste your time.
The support is also none. They do not reply to the email I sent.
