It’s really a nice and helpful asset, it works on my project smoothly.

If you switch to the new input system package - as requested -, it no longer works.

Many problems

This asset help use save a lot of time to implement virtual button.

So, I love how simple it is to use the prefabs, change their settings, as well as change their images for customization. However, the D-Pad and Joystick controls cause the input system to randomly think they are in a "canceled" phase while I am actively using the controls. To clarify, the phase changes from "Performed" to "Canceled" rapidly back and forth. I have not found a reason as to why. This makes the system unusable. I do not have this issue when using a physical gamepad.

I spent hours trying to implement custom input devices using the totally incomprehensible and outdated Unity documentation before finding this little gem that works out of the box and let you easily use UI as input sources!
