Potential 5 Stars - Please fix Manifest file BLUETOOTH_SCAN
3 years ago
EmeralLotuson version 14
I'm testing in Unity 2022.3 LTS and it works great in the editor on a mac. When publishing to Android, the android manifest file needs to be updated to include Bluetooth_Scan permission. I tried to do this via unity's custom Android manifest file but it doesn't work because the android plugin is an android .aar module which by nature already includes the manifest file. Also that brings us to another super important point. Since all of the source files for the native Android, IOS and MAC code is completely closed source and if you do not have the time to update the code, very grateful and appreciative for you to consider releasing the source so that when we use your plugin in our production project we are not stuck with a blackbox that we cannot upgrade with new versions of unity. Thank you in advance.

Can't run, get errors and no response from publisher

This plugin does not run because of a DIINotFoundException error, even though android support is claimed. Emailed the publisher for support months ago and received no response

I very much apologize for the delay - we have not yet been able to deal with the problem due to a lack of time and manpower. The DIINotFoundException is most likely because you are developing on a Windows system. You can of course build for iOS and Android, but you cannot start and test your application in the editor. To do this, you have to build and debug the application on the target device.

Waste of time and money

I am very disapointed with this plugin. I followed all the steps, I verified that my BLE device supports the Heart Rate Protocol wih nRF app, but with this plugin I can't scan and find it. I have sent an email to the support and i recieved no response within a week. If you dont have the exact devices they suggest as an example, just do not waste your time and your money. Definately, i am going to ask for a refund.

DllNotFoundException
rameshmindwaveventureson previous version 11
I've just downloaded the Plug-In, wanted to try the MultiConnection DllNotFoundException: MacOSHeartRatePlugin HeartRatePlugin.Initialize (System.Boolean shouldSanPluginLog) (at Assets/HeartRatePlugin/Scripts/HeartRatePlugin.cs:224) HeartRatePlugin.Start () (at Assets/HeartRatePlugin/Scripts/HeartRatePlugin.cs:185) And get the following exception after pressing the 'Update' Button: HeartRatePlugin; StartScan: ScanController is not initialized. Did you forget to add ScanController object in the scene? UnityEngine.Debug:LogError(Object) HeartRatePlugin:StartScan() (at Assets/HeartRatePlugin/Scripts/HeartRatePlugin.cs:391) MultiConnection:OnClickButtonControl() (at Assets/HeartRatePlugin/ExampleScenes/MultiConnection.cs:69) UnityEngine.EventSystems.EventSystem:Update() Is there a solution to fix this problem or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The Samsung Gear S3 does not implement the Heart Rate Service according to the Bluetooth specifications. Unfortunately, it uses a proprietary service which we cannot support.

I had a problem with the HRV Core Sense Heart Sensor, but the developers were super-quick to find a fix.

I am able to get the HRP to connect with my CoreSense HRV Monitor cleanly if I'm using a (PC, Linux, Mac, StandAlone) or if I use iOS in the player settings, but I get this error when i try to use it with an Android setup. What might I be doing wrong?
