WARNING! Broken Out of Box using 2023.3.3 Unity

Promising asset that looks to be abandoned since no updates for 4 years. Demo Scenes are missing prefabs ALL "Container" game objects on prefabs are missing mono script. VRUICard prefabs missing mono scripts Developer does not answer emails in timely manner.

Getting this error. missing Error VRUI-ScrollPanel Script

Hi need help for Error while saving Prefab: 'Assets/VRUI - Material Design/Assets/Prefabs/VRUI-ScrollPanel.prefab'. You are trying to save a Prefab with a missing script. This is not allowed. and other prefabs with same problem

Solid and Works Well

The text didn't render well, out of the box, in my project. I couldn't figure out if it was my settings or native unity text being bad. I replaced it with textmeshpro which probably has some mip mapping in it, it was solid. Everything scales well and updates well in the editor. Doesn't seem to be crashing anything either, so very good!

Nice little system, needs a little TLC for XR

I bought this a while back, could not get it to work and was a bit frustrated. It is a cool little system that while I could design myself, is designed with its own control structure that allows you to change colors. So if you are not great with programming you can get started with this... HOWEVER... It does not work with XR out of the box. In order to get XR to work, you have to removed the graphics raycaster on ALL of the prefabs, and then add the "Tracked Device Graphics Raycaster", then on the event system manager in your scene you have to add XRUI Input Module. Then you also have to delete the script in the prefabs that is specific to Oculus(i think it was - I cant tell or see because I dont have it installed). Edit: Also ensure that on your XR Rig, you have the correct Controller script attached. After doing the above, It worked for me. I then copied all of the prefabs into a new folder and saved it, and I can use them all for my project. Once all of this work was done, I was glad for the purchase... but tbh... The developer should consider creating a folder like I did for Oculus Users, XR users, Steam Users etc. That way you can pick which prefab folder you want to install Without having to delete a bunch of scripts and doing all of the work. I personally hate UI design and didnt know about the Tracked Device Graphics Raycaster, if I didnt happen upon a youtube video explaining this to me, I would have never gotten this working properly by myself. Edit: Also, the Scroll Panel doesnt work for me currently due to programming I am sure, so Ill have to fix that myself. Otherwise, the rest of them work. You will probably need to do a little work to get the keyboard to target input fields. I reached out to the developer today on this issue, and hopefully will hear back. (I am using one keyboard for everything, so if you want to make a new keyboard for each element, it will probably work out of the box for you). (Trying to keep my system as dynamic and static as possible).

This product provides a large number and variety of useful UI features for VR, which, in addition to being highly functional, are simple and aesthetically appealing in appearance. All the features can be viewed and tested in two demo scenes, and it's easy to set up one or more of them in your own scene with the prefabs provided. I briefly had a little trouble getting it to work through no fault of the product, but the developer promptly and patiently assisted me in changing one setting and then it worked perfectly. There aren't a lot of UI systems for VR in the Unity Asset Store, so I'm very happy I found this one.
