Good asset. Works for me!

TLRD: Just buy it :) Scrolling in unity is awful. Truly abysml. Awful. As in: 300 items in a scroll view and 2-4fps. Well. Hmm. That's: "rubbish" This asset: Tick. How much do you value your time? Lets presume you could charge $150 p/hour. Can you implement this in an hr? Doubt it. "But I have to read docs, experiment, and get to know the asset" I hear you cry. Sure. 100% agree. Once. After that? 1) you have a working soloution 2) someone else (Lucian) slaves away to make sure this thing works for you in 1/2/3 years time. I looked at some open source stuff before this (recyling scroll view). That took me ... oooo.... 2hrs? If I'm valuing my time, then this is 100% no brainer. Have I got it working PERFECTLY? Nope. Is it 577327347% better than the rubbish shipped by Unity (I mean come on, 300 items in a scroll view and 2-4fps?)... yep! Just buy it :)

Feature rich and error free. Integration takes a little reading and understanding, but once that is done, the power and ease is apparent.

With a little patience I made it work :) I am still not using all its power but so far, I am really happy. I wrote LUCIAN to ask about TMPro implementation for GRID, cause I am having some doubts. Let's see the Support. Thanks Lucas

Works nicely but seriously need a better documentation!
Sphax84on previous version 5.3.1
EDIT: Most of the issues I was talking about have been addressed in a later version and Support on Discord is great! There are several examples but the documentation is very poor. The scroller inertia was broken (impossible to use mouse clicks to drag the scroller)... After hours to try to understand what I did wrong, it was in fact due to a bug of OSA when using the new InputSystem. The developer quickly fixed that bug for me on Discord and I thank him for that. However, the documentation is very poor and would really need better explanations on the different methods to use. I also think the way files are organized is a true nightmare, Demos, Textures, Scripts and Editor things are all mixed up and I had to sort all of that myself in my project to tidy things. By default it's also impossible to move the Lib in another folder (you need to edit a Const file to change project paths). I am currently facing another issue because the method "OnBeforeRecycleOrDisableCellViewsHolder" is not called when a cell already exist and is re-used for the new incoming data... Which prevents me to set the CellView components back to their initial state. I'll be more than happy to add the 2 remaining stars when a better documentation and a better organization of the project files will be achieved. The Lib works pretty well, but it does not save much time if we have to read its whole code to understand how to use it!

Hi, It's good to see a different perspective, as it forces us to reconsider changing parts of the package. Users receive fixes as soon as they're ready via our discord channel, and I'm happy to hear this specific one that you reported was handled with the same urgency. So in the same manner just report the second bug (and any others you find) and the same procedure will follow. Actually, most of this pack is a result of hundreds of bug reports and feature-requests along the years, just like yours, that we received via email or on discord. As for organizing the project, we've already handled this a few years ago and we separated non-core files into Utilities and Demos sub-unitypackages which you can optionally import. As with anything else, I'm personally interested in what esle do you think can be improved in this regard, just give us the specifics. We also include any piece of doc that users ask us to, so in the same matter as fixing a part of the code for you, we can fix a part of the doc for you. Just let me or my colleagues know. There's a total of 8 Google Docs which add up to ~73 pages. I know quantity is not quality, and that there's always room for improvement, so please point us to the problematic section and we'll fix it. I hope you can reach back to us and provide specifics for the problematic areas -- Lucian

Once you understand the way to use it, there is no stopping you. You can seriously load millions of items in a list! And the highlight of this asset is the dev support. Keep up the great work!

Amazing asset, THE solution for scrolling in unity, you can do anything you imagine to do with it, needs a little time to implement and to get its basics, but totally worth your time and money. Also, the support is the best i've seen in the whole community.

EXCEPTIONAL and PERFECT

nIcEcOwon previous version 5.1.2
Hadn't used the full power of OSA yet, just integrated the scroller in the project, as I need to show around 5000-10000 items ( where each item needs to get information from some RestAPI and image for that item ). The initial integration is so buttery smooth and simple, that I fell for this plugin within 5 mins. Simple walk through of the generated script, with detailed comments were enough to get me started on the project. Really appreciate a very nice work done by the developers :-)

Amazing and super fast!

BlueSpiriton previous version 5.1.2
I had a list with 1500+ items and it was slow and laggy on mobile devices using the default Unity ScrollView. Bought this asset, made the changes to accommodate my design and bam! Super fast and optimized! There's a wizard setup to help you get started and tons of example scenes if you need some inspiration. Definitely get it if you have to work with big lists or grids. And awesome job devs!

I'll keep this short and sweet- if you're having any problems because your list/grid is too big- this is the right asset for you.
